i really would like to get out of my lease
they made 3 mistakes with my lease
1. my name was spelled wrong on it
2. they told me i cant move in till Aug 16th. my lease starts at 1st of aug
3. above all that, they didnt accept my garentor, and they told me i cant move in till i get a new one, and i will still have to pay them. i tried to explain to them that this is tottal bull****. but the landlord was a tottal *** 2 me. and told me he doesnt have time for this
i walked angry out of there and i didnt go back to them till now.
do they have the right to do that??
can i just dont go back there. i am affraid that i would do something and it would turn out wrong since i dont know nothing about the law.
help.. anyone
thanx

Have you signed the lease? It's not a contract until you do, you have nothing to get out of. You may forfeit your application fees, but at least you will be free of them.

hopefully you didn't sign a lease. you should never sign a lease until the day of you moving in. Even still at the time of signing the lease, they should have given you keys.

as far as your co-signer, if both parties signed the lease then that is a non issue,

Everything you are saying should have been dealt with prior to signing a lease.

Anyway, that can't charge you for the entire month, if they aren't letting you move in to the 16th. You may need to hire an attorney to get you out of this mess

Sounds to me like you do not have a legal lease and you should not pay or go back

don't move in to the place and tell the landlord that you have decided not to take the place.

Just walk away, and let them chase you.
