There was a man on TV this morning that kept saying "IMPORDUNT" instead of important.
The other ones that are great are "PACIFIC REASON" instead of specific reason. Did they not attend school before they plopped down in front of a camera?

Yes it really bugs me when I hear such so- called clever people like Anne Robinson, say LOR instead of LAW and also people who say Sickth instead of Sixth. I had better not get started otherwise I could go on all day. Here is a star for you - it is a very good question .. !!.. xx

With you 1000%, and I can never resist
these questions.

What gets me as much is when baseball
announcers clearly misrepresent what is
happening--on television.

And it's recurrent to the point of embarrassment.

"There's a shot to deep right centerfield!"--when
in fact, it's a bloop to mid-centerfield.

Or when the commentator adds a strategy move's
major plus or minus, and the opposite argument
or third option are no less viable.

It just goes on.

[ In Lynne Truss's "Eats, Shoots & Leaves," she
refers to us types as, sticklers. ]

Thanks. I feel better already.
