That depends entirely on what you consider to be peculiar, strange or unusual. In some tribes in the highlands of Papua New Guinea it is thought that men will not be able to father children until they have built up their level of semen. To this end, boys perform fellatio on the men of the tribe at every opportunity. They do this until they are in their late teens when they become men and after that they have fellatio performed upon them.
I don't know if you consider that peculiar, strange or unusual but it happens.
