You should not desire to philosophize. Doing so is a curse, not a blessing. You can believe in nothing if you reach the holy grail of complete philosophy.

Once there, you must construct, bit by bit, a method for continuing on with your life, knowing all the while that it is not sound, it's just a way to survive and make the most of your life. You will not share in the joys of others as they basque in the ideologies which have ensnared them. No idealogy will be of interest to you, be it religious, political or other.

Perhaps a sublime intellectual circle will provide a modicum of solice...but by-and-large...you will be alone.

Is that what you want?

What I've described is the life led by the greatest thinkers in history - the Hallmark figures of western philosophy. All of mankind moves to and fro along the shoreline of their wake.

Philosophy is essentially the completion of science in the synthesis of wisdom. There is a pleasure in philosophy , and a lure even in the mirages of metaphysics which everyone must feel until the coarse necessities of physical existence drag us from the heights of thought into the mart of economic strife an gain.
