He's gone on bad streaks, as any player does... But I think he's a good player. He can give you some home runs, and also steal a good amount of bases. A solid outfielder in my opinion.

Eric Byrnes is a really good player who has speed and can play his position well. He is having an excellent year, and when he gets comfortable with a team, he can play great baseball: In 02-03 he played full seasons with the A's and did great in 03. The same thing is happening in Arizona.

He's a good player, but I think he's having a career year, and this is probably the only season he'll ever be on multiple MVP ballots. Of course, I thought the same about Luis Gonzalez in 1999, and he kept having great seasons for several more years. But that's basically the type of player he is - what Gonzalez was - a good defensive rightfielder who can manage in centerfield if you really need him to, a guy who would be a really good hitter for a centerfielder, but just OK in the corners, and a hard worker who's a good influence in the clubhouse.

I think he's quite good. I was surprised when the A's dumped him years ago. Even back then, you could see his potential.

He leads the team (D'Backs) in batting average, RBI, Runs, and SB's so you tell me how good he is.
