My bf was going out with this girl and broke up just over year ago and was with her for 4 yrs. He was engaged to her so I know he loved her however he has told me he was in love with me for 2 of those years he was with her and a year after he left her. He told me before though that if he didnt want to be with someone he would tell them cos it wouldnt be fair to them. I am asking him why he stayed with her for 2 years when he had feelings for me as I dont want the same thing to happen with us, he is not doing a good job though he said he didnt love her as much as me but yet he was engaged to the girl. He now told me few mins ago in a text message that he left her when his feelings for me got so strong cos it wasnt fair on her but he told me before that he left her cos she cheated on him.

If you're that insecure in this relationship, then you should get out of it. He is with you girlfriend and that should be enough. All this worry is going to drive you insane and possibily drive him away. What ever his past is with other girls are, leave it in the past, live in the present. You will be much more happier. I don't try to worry about such things and I really don't want to know about past relationships, for one it is really going to be one sided. I am secure in who I am as a person and a female. Now if a guy is looking for something else, he is going too no matter what you do and no amount of worry is going to change that. I know it will be his loss though if he should decide to venture there and from past experience, they always come back. That's where I give them their just dues cause when you burn that bridge there is no crossing back over it. I think more of me than that and know I deserve better. As far as what guys say or how they think, give it up! They try to tell you what you want to hear and sometimes they get their selves tripped up in doing so. Most of the time it is really hard to read between the lines and lies. Not saying their all this way, just most. If he's with you settle for that and be content. LOL
