The hypocrisy of the Micheal Vick case shows how the American justice system is a total joke. We know Dog fighting is now illegal but what about Rabbit, Cochroach or Fish fighting Illegal? Yes, I'm being very sarcastic!

Let me also add, where are the animal control people to save the animals abandoned? Where I live there are 5 or more cats who have resided by our dumpster for the last few years. They live in the woods. We are not allowed to have pets, so I can't bring them in. More people abuse their pets and other animals by leaving them outdoors in bad weather, not feeding them, abusing them or just dropping them off and leaving the pets to their own devices

Our government will most likely destroy all 60 of those pit bulls found on Michael Vick's property...so who'se the villian now?

Worse than that, was the disproportionate amount of time and energy the drive-by media spent reporting a relatively insignificant story.

Hurricane = relevant news Football player did something stupid (like that's rare) = irrelevant news

The American justice system upheld the laws as they were written. Then media made a story out of practically nothing.

I don't know of cockroach fighting, but in China and Japan, fish fighting has been going on for centuries.
An aquarium is made with a slideable door (up) to seperate two fish. One is fed and the other is not. After a few days, the unfed fish seems to go crazy watching fish food being given to the other fish. This is when the "door" is pulled up. The hungry fish attacks the other fish, which usually ends in the death of the unfed fish because of its weakness from hunger.
This [may] apply to rabbits as well, but I have no knowledge of such a practise.

Mike should only spend his nights in jail. During the day (every day) he should be made to clean out the cages at local animal shelters with his bare hands.

I saw on the news that his football jerseys are all being donated to animal shelters to line the bottom of cages and there is already a dog chew toy in his likeness.

Well, if you are being sarcastic...what's your point? Any exploitation and TORTURE of animals for the entertainment of people is horrible, and to the best of my knowledge, illegal. I don't get where you are coming from. How is a judicial system that tries to protect the defenseless a joke? Your priorities are very strange.
