This is one of the reasons I'm such a big fan of the Pastafarians. The FSM is a jolly and good god.
We Buddhists tend to laugh and smile a lot, too. We know that all this stuff that people take so seriously is just temporary bullsh#t, and we're just passing through!

I am an agnostic atheist. I am unsure about the existence of a God; I don't think my beliefs are the absolute truth or that I know everything. I know that there are things beyond my understanding, that there are a lot of things I don't know. But I've chosen to believe that there isn't a God based on the fact that there is no evidence that proves otherwise. Is this being closed minded? I know that my beliefs are not absolute truths, I know that I could be wrong.. You are talking about pantheism, not theism. Pantheism is not about Allah, Jehovah, or Yahweh or Mithras or Horus or Zeus. You are assuming things without evidence. Science can't explain this..therefore it must be God..therefore it must be a soul? That is completely ridiculous. You can't conclude that something was created by an intelligent agent in science..that is like proving a negative. Multicellular organisms are complex, therefore God must have created them...How do you prove that? You can't ,it is not science. It can't be tested.

I can't answer for all the different faiths on earth but the God of Jesus understands how serious man's sin are and how terribly the consequences will be for them so that's why he has established his church here so that people could be made aware that they must get right with God before it's too late.

I would really hope that if there is a god, he/she would have a fantastic sense of humor... you'd think it'd be a requirement with all the stuff that goes on in the world.

Normally I make jokes all the time. However when I am dealing with the serious subject of God, I concern myself with the keeping of the third commandment. The third commandment requireth the holy and reverent use of God's names, titles, attributes, ordinances, word, and works.
