I do because I'm not married. Passion is there but reason says selfless abstinence is required. There are everyday needs on which to focus instead.

abstinence is very important to me bc that which i view as an intoxicating beverage which has the ability to make me do things i would not otherwise do becomes to me like every other thing that aims to exert control over my life. i believe in doing w/e i do for my own reasons not bc was compelled to do them by someone of something..
and i know they say well you can drink in moderation but i cannot bring myself to accept something i look down upon to enter my body.
as for celibacy its just that its wrong to get too attatched to anyone bc of that reason..in the end the only person u can rely on is yourself and if u sleep with someone and then they let u down....its much harder to leave...also u should share sumthing special with someone u feel strongly about mentally and that would usually be when ur mature enough and willing to stay with that person always.

Maybe my English is poor, but I thought they were the same things! I just want to know why you would ask such a personal question. And why would you ask such a superfluous question?
