I'm looking for something around $25,000. It doesn't have to be that much it can be $15,000, but $25,000 is my limit. Here are my requirements in order from most important, to least.

1. Gas Mileage - I am thinking of getting a prius, mainly because of it's gas mileage. And, it looks fairly decent.

2. Make - Preferably not a Ford, Dodge, or any GM make.

3. Looks - The "cooler" looking the better I guess. I'd drive a Honda Insight but it looks like someone pee-wee herman would drive. Haha

Thanks

Half of you guys are idiots. First of all, buying a GM or Ford DOESN'T support the economy. GM is destroying it. And where in the world did you come up with the idea they get good gas mileage? GM/Ford are the worst gas mileage companies out there. And Hybrids will cost money in the long run? More like short run! They cost more, and in the LONG RUN save you money. Save about 2,000 dollars on gas a year.

I love how people are saying support America, by buying GM or Ford. Even GM and Ford don't support the economy. They have repeatedly moved their production to Mexico while the parts come from Canada. The only way buying GM or Ford helps the US economy is the fact that the train companies make more money shipping the parts from Canada to Mexico.

I also had to laugh when someone said that GM had good residuals! Look up the facts before spouting that kind of nonsense.

Personally, I think that the Prius is really ugly. Also hybrid cars are not the great value they seem to be. You pay more for them, they depreciate faster, and this offsets the gas savings.

If you like Toyota the Corolla is not a bad car if you get the sporty one. Great gas mileage. There is also the Scion range, all with great gas mileage.

The Honda Fit comes highly recommended by Edmunds.com, so does the new Civic. They also like the Mazda 3.

Take a look at the smaller Nissan cars, although the new shaped Altima is amazing, but pushes closer to the top of your price range. The new Sentra and Versa are cool though.

Despite what some people say, choose Japanese for reliability and longevity. You are supporting the American economy just fine, most dealerships are owned by Americans, and Japanese companies invest a fortune into this country.

Seriously rethink the hybrid idea. Consumer Reports and Penn & Teller's BullS..t show both slammed them, and had very compelling reasons not to buy them. Check Edmunds.com for some good reviews and information. Check KBB.com to find out the invoice price, once you are ready to buy. Use this to negotiate, and never pay any BS 'dealer prep' fees.

You are considering buying a new car and you want to get the one with the best gas mileage. Maybe it's because you're socially aware and want to be kind to the environment. Or maybe it's just because you want to save yourself some money in the long run by paying for a car now that will cost you less in gas on a day-to-day basis. Whatever the reason, gas mileage is the number one thing that you have on your list as you're looking for a new car.

As a ways as I recognize, whoever "hits" has the legal responsibility or is "at fault". In different phrases, coverage businesses and regulation enforcements perspective is, "If you're following the entire regulations of the avenue and safeguard, there may be under no circumstances any motive to hit some thing." Now, if there used to be ice at the avenue, that would atleast make matters lean extra on your want, however I believe you must have a picture taken that day of the stretch of avenue you slid on. That's why they are saying you must regularly have atleast a disposable digital camera on your vehicle to take a picture of an coincidence and coincidence scene at the day of the coincidence, along side a telephone telephone, your coverage know-how, motive force's license and registration. Hopefully you've vehicle coverage so that it will pay even supposing it's your fault, or if now not, plenty of peers and loved ones so that it will support you on this time of hindrance. There's plenty of different elements to remember: used to be both of the drivers using at the same time impaired, or in a hurry, did both go away the scene of the coincidence earlier than regulation enforecement arrived, what style of cars have been worried, did each have vehicle coverage-dl license-registration-and many others... So with a bit of luck, perhaps there may be different elements which can be on your want right here. In both case, it is a take-heed call to regularly force thoroughly and defensively and maintain as so much house among you and different relocating cars or gadgets as viable, have a seat belt on, and shouldn't have any distractions like paying attention to the radio, consuming, ingesting, speakme on a telephone telephone, and many others... I recognize all this on account that I've been using for years now, and feature handiest been in a couple of injuries. In each and every coincidence besides one, any one hit me and for a few motive none of them even had a motive force's license!!!! In the coincidence in which I hit any one, I rear ended any one, identical to you probably did. So on the grounds that I "hit", it used to be my fault, despite the fact that the vehicle in entrance of me stopped brief and particularly quick, now not giving me any time to give up. The handiest factor that stored me used to be that the vehicle I hit left the scene of the coincidence, and, from what I comprehend, it used to be a few style of coverage rip-off at the facet of the opposite motive force.
