my boyfriend and our neighbor (she's married) were texting each other about their fantasies about each other. i saw the texts and confronted him. he said that it meant nothing, and it was just for fun. he said he would never actually do any of these things with her because she is married, and he loves me. would anyone consider this cheating? do you think he ever would do something like that again?

HONESTLY i would say yeah its cheating.
anything that hurts you can be considered foul play. think of it this way... he didnt comeout and say... "hey guess what... i was talking to that one female and...ect." he didnt because he knew it was wrong.
he might play with it. telling ppl things like that means your somewhat into them... might want to talk to her husband

I have been in this exact situation and IT IS CHEATING!
My Ex did the exact same thing, but with a girl he went to high school with (she is married with 4 kids). He told me the same bunch of crap you just got fed, and guess what!!!! he did all the things he texted about, not only with her, but with another girl aswell.
Anything so intimate, either physical or mental, that a man feels the need to hide from his partner is cheating. There is something to hide. Besides, he should be sharing his innermost fantasies with you, not the hag next door.

I wouldn't trust it, tell him the next time he feels in the mood to play on the phone... to try texing you and you can type what ever he wants to here, because the next time you catch him texing her... he'll be texing his way right out the door... then ask him what he thinks of that.. then i would tex her and pretend to be him with his phone,( just because I'm that way) and because I just went through the him cheating on me thing. Sorry I'm still a little bitter with the whole thing. I don't believe in hurting someone you love like that. Don't let him get away with it or he might keep on doing it and probably is anyway. Check his phone and I'd be having myself a little talk with little miss married tex my man again and your gonna get it. person too if I were you.

I would consider it cheating, it may not have been physical but it was basically having a secretive flirtation. If he has fantasies about her they wont go away. Find a new boyfriend, that type of behaviour shouldn't be tolerated.

Yes it is cheating...Ask your boyfriend if her husband knows about the texts...See how harmless it is then. I think that if you just leave this alone they will do it for as long as they can get away with it. If it hasn't escalated into something physical yet...I think it soon will. It's not like he has to go far.

Oh my god, are you really that easy to get over on.Let me ask you this why did he do it then if not to masturbate when tex ting each other. He might love you but you are not given him what he needs in the bedroom or he could be to embarrassed to ask you. Remember he isn't your husband so there really isn't anything stopping him from having sex with her,do you really think he would ever admit to you that he is having sex with another woman not even if you walked in on them would he admit to anything he would tell you it's not what it looks like or she came onto me.Be careful he will brake your heart.

This isn't cheating. I think this is honestly just for fun. Almost every one fantasizes. Its only cheating if he is having sex, or a relationship with some one else with out you knowing.

for me its DEFINITELY cheating. a mere thought of having sex with someone other than your wife or gf is already cheating, what more if it is verbalized and done into action? his reason is he would never do it because the girl is married, my question to your bf, what if your neighbor is single and unattached, would you do it?????

yes he will continue to do it he will just be slicker next time example he will delate the messages before you can read them. its not cheating its disrespectful you text somebody eye for an eye right show him how it feels.
