Is that just an overzealous rationalization or can you cite any truth to the statement!?!?!
Why do ppl say that a guy who may well just be in the friend zone..."must be gay"?
Can't he be hetrosexual and I may or may not be the girl for him?

We have been friends for three years.
I don't care who is gay...unless I want to get in bed with them.

I don't know who this someone was that told you this but I sure hope you don't get advice from them on a regular basis,. I have male friends that say I love you all the time. They are not gay. and they haven't even gotten to first base with me. How long have you known your male friend? Maybe he is just being respectful. There is no truth what so ever it the statement.

I can't say anything about how to make your friendship like it was before or anything, but if you don't, then stay proud. Really, you have no reasons to be upset at any comments, no matter how vile. For example, if somebody called you stupid *****. If you aren't a stupid *****, then since it's not true, you don't have to be upset. If you are, then they are telling the truth so you don't get mad at them, but maybe at yourself for being a stupid *****. I know I'm being meddlesome, but I don't think she is a loyal, devoted friend if she goes on gossiping of other people's businesses. (persons other than YOU are considered others) If by doing so the guys you like turn away from you, then there is no value in dealing with those guys. They are being immature if they choose to act weird for such gossip, or won't be friends with you anymore. If the guy is mature and likes you for real, either platonic or romantic, then he'll stay with you. Otherwise, they'll leave you or make fun of you or look at you weird, and it cannot be helped if you can't stand it.

Maybe, he just doesnt want the sole basis of the relationship to be physical stuff like sex, he wants to ake sure you are truely in love before you o any thing together.

Not all guys are desperate to get you in bed at the soonest opportunity, just because he wants to take his time and get to know you properly does not make him gay

That's a bullcrap reason for calling someone gay. My guy friends and I used to say "I love you" all the time, and none of them are gay.

i don't think he is gay. maybe he just respects you so much he doesn't want to go past first base. he will be gay when he likes men. men can be friends with women but they're not gay.

why cant he be gay? whats wrong with him being gay? does he come on to you? if not then he could be gay or he could just not be interested in you. ask him jokingly say something like so and so (a guy) i think he thinks your hot what do you think...and if his response is eww thats gross then he just isnt in to you.

That is not necessarily true. He may respect you too much to push you, or he may be a virgin, and be very nervous.
