You say that Jesus isn't the son of God, but a profit. Well, if he was a profit how come he would lie and say he was the son of God?!? I mean, if he really were a good profit than I don't think he would lie. If he did lie than wouldn't that make him a low-down lier, how could he be just a 'good man' without being either the son of God, or a lier?

I'm not trying to judge...this is just a question that I've been asking myself, and thought I'd ask you so I wouldn't have to ponder over it. Oh, and to you Mormons, I'm sorry I mixed you up with another....

Mormons believe he was the Son of God.

Islam teaches he was a prophet. They teach that God is a spirit and incapable of being a Father. I guess some Christians say the same thing.

Mohammed used various gnostic scriptures to obtain his understand of Jesus' teaching. He rejected the idea of his divinity as the invention of his followers. He claimed that Jesus did not die on the cross, but a substitution was made. So Islam can teach that he was a prophet by adapting only a portion of what Christians believe. They do not make the choice of Jesus either telling the truth or a lie.

Well obviously you know nothing about Mormons. And you don't know how to spell either.

Profit- Money earned
Prophet- A man called of God to teach his word and Lead his people.

ok now that that is cleared up.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka Mormons- Believe that Jesus is the only Begottenn Son of God the Father.

If you really want to know what LDS doctrine is on Jesus, I invite you to visit the following links:

This link will give you basic information about what we REALLY believe about Jesus. There is also an option to ask a live person questions.

http://www.mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/basic-beliefs/jesus-christ-our-savior/jesus-christ

This document is called "The Living Christ" it is the testimony of the First Presidency and twelve apostles.

After visiting these links- there will be absolutely no doubt that we do believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he is Divine, that he died for our sins and that he was resurected and still lives today.

In perspective all religions lead to the same God. In the begining of time God created Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve had 3 children. Cain, Abel, and Seth. We do not know if Cain had any children but we do know that Abel did not. Seth had a child named Noah. Noah had 3 chuldren. Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Now lets focus on Shem. He had a child named Terah, Terah had 3 children. Abraham, Nahor, and Haron. Now focusing on Abraham. He is mentioned in Christianity, Arab, and Islam. Now here is were things seperate. The diffrent beliefs about Abraham. In the New Testament Abraham is known as the man of faith. Abraham is involved with the burning book passage in the Bibal were the bush is on fire yet not burning which is a sign of the holy spirit. To the islamic people Abraham is a very important prophet. And since Abraham is the father of Ishmael who is considered the father of the arabs. And last the Arab connection. A line in the book of jubilees mentions the descndants of Abrahams son by Hager, Ishmael as well as his descendants by Keturah, became the "Arabians" or "Arabs". So as you can see is that the Muslums, the Jews, and the Christians relay have the same base beliefs just in a diffrent perspective.

Jesus said that he was the son of God. There may have been others making similar claims, but Christianity swept them under the carpet. There were about 100 different Gospels, but Christianity has swept many of them under the carpet also. Aren't Christians allowed to ask why God has never spoken the words, "My son Jesus" ? Lets hear that claim from God, instead of from religion.

You seem to be misinformed. Mormons do most definitely teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is our savior and our redeemer. He atoned for the sins of mankind, and if it were not for Jesus Christ, we would not have eternal life. Jesus Christ is the Son of God,.

I am a Mormon and that is what I have been taught and what Mormons teach.

There are many verses in the bible that contradict this theory of him being "the son of God" I however do not have them on hand. I suggest you do a google search.

it is interesting to note that the term "son of God" is used in other parts of the Bible to refer to Adam (Bible: Luke 3:38), Israel (Bible: Exodus 4:22) and David (Bible: Psalms 2:7) as well. The creatures of God are usually referred to in the Bible as children of God.

wow, i got a thumbs down for actually giving FACTUAL proof? something people in here have not done...LOL. How silly.

I don't know where you're getting your facts from maybe parents or radical church but Muslims, Jews and a few other obscure religons are the only ones that dont believe christ as we know it was christ. Mormonism totally believes in christ and more then any church believes he was a son of god. Please learn of how to spell prophet also get the real facts on the basic theology of each religion before you go making accusations on other belief systems in the passive form of a question.

Marc, Jesus referred to GOD as his PERSONAL father countless times so how can you possibly make a statement like that and how much of the bible have you actually read? Also the lady poses an excellent question.
Red Dragon, have you ever read the Bible because you are seriously trippin'.
