Hmm, I was born into a christian/agnostic family. I did go to sunday school a few times but always hated it. Since early teens [probably around 12 or so] I just questioned the whole religion thing. Adhered to paganism for a couple of years but then decided there's no real difference between religions and that they are all mythological. Since then I've been what is classified as an atheist and have never seen any reason to change that, indeed as I look at the world and its people and learn and see more, I only find more and more reasons to stay that way.

I am athiest but I used to be Christian. There have been several days throughout history in which the world was predicted to end, Jesus would return, nothing bad will ever happen again, and the world would remain in peace for eternity. None of this has ever happened. After one of these days, August 8, 2008 I chose to make sure nothing bad happens or else I would stop believing in God. Bad things happened. My cousin even got sent to prison just a few months later. I have also discovered science and religion conflicts, such as the Big Bang theory in science and creationism in religion. Due to these conflicts I could only believe one or the other. I thought believing in science would help me get a better grade in science. Another thing is prayer. If you ask God a question in your prayer, why doesn't he answer you? You are probably talking to nobody. I chose to be atheist until I could find another religion to follow, but I eventually realized there is no true religion so I stayed atheist

i replaced into as quickly as a incredibly hardcore Atheist. To be honest, I nevertheless dislike Christians (or a minimum of i won't locate one that i'm able to get alongside with). in spite of the shown fact that, I grew to become agnostic, by using fact I be afflicted by circumstances that technology can't no longer fix to any perfect degree. And now that I even have experienced first hand the obstacles of technology, I actually have a tendency to work out the failings in the two theistic and atheistic thinking. the fact is, there is plenty we don´t understand. yet I see atheists claiming there is not any god or gods mutually as - I propose, heavily, how the **** are you going to instruct that a being effectual sufficient to create the universe does not exist as quickly as we haven´t even completely found out the international we live to tell the tale or perhaps our very own rattling MINDS. you spot, the easy distinction between an atheist and a theist, is that an atheist will truly no longer have self assurance something until eventually they see evidence. A theist will have self assurance in it, regardless of if abstractly, until eventually shown in any different case. I don´t want evidence that there is a god or gods basically as much as an atheist doesn´t want evidence that a god does not exist with a view to declare this variety of ingredient (be honest). If we can´t instruct it one way or the different, then it doesn´t depend what you think or don´t have self assurance, does it? fact is, all of us die besides, so in my opinion, I´d quite die believing that there is something extra to the international than working 9 to 5 slots in some pointless activity to perpetuate a society of bickering morons each and each with their very very own backstabbing time table (like your anti-Christian one right here, working example).

I didn't 'become' an atheist. I was born without belief in any gods, and I wasn't indoctrinated as a child. By the time people started trying to convert me I was old enough and clever enough to see that what they were saying was absurd.

I am agnostic, I was born in a christian family.
I read the bible ,and could not stand the filth in it, I absolutely abhor the biblical God, that is a myth.
I am open to the idea that something might exist, but it would have to be a very different type of higher entity than the chief tribal God like Yahweh was.

I was born into a Catholic family but never felt part of this religion but I always felt God's presence protecting me during my "dysfunctional" childhood...I married a man that was raised in a Christian home and I started going to Church with him after we were married....It was a non-denominational Church and "Christianity" finally made sense to me...To study the Bible, understand it and it's parables, and GOD'S instruction to us is something I will never trade for anything...I could never go back to my old self and thank Christ Jesus for being reborn!

I'm an atheist because I shouldn't have to subscribe to a weak philosophy like christianity.

No man can come to the Father except the Spirit draws him. I became a christian because the Holy Spirit drawed me, and I accepted the call to repentance.

the reason why i become a christian is because god pierced the veil that blocks my sight towards reality, towards the truth, that the reason why i live and the very purpose behind my existence is my lord and savior Jesus Christ. time and again Jesus Christ is making me realize how much he loves me and that he is indeed my lord and savior. words can never ever express how grateful, how blessed, and how thankful i am for having Jesus Christ in my life. he is my everything, my beginning, my forever, my life, the reason why i live, my Jesus Christ. i was once an unbeliever of him that i really doubted his existence but because of his unfailing love i get to know him and accepted him as my personal lord and savior. he is real - real.
god bless! =)
