God forbid Adam and Eve to taste the Fruit of Knowledge. The Devil urged them. Dose this imply, God is against Knowledge. God doesnot want us to be wise/educated?

wow...talk about out of context. Glad you asked the question, so we can clarify this.

The admonition was against the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

There they were, living in Paradise...all is perfect....why would they need to "know" (to experience) evil, such as pain, suffering, grief, misery?

This was what God did not want them to have to experience. Same reason I tell my 2 year old not to reach to the fire. Is it because I don't want him hurt, or because I think he should only eat cold food?

Hope that helps you understand that God is not against knowledge.

No. You are taking the bible too literally, which people tend to do. God does want us to be knowledgeable and even more so wise. Wisdom and knowledge are different. Knowledge would be going to school to learn to be a doctor. Wisdom would be actually being a doctor for 15 years after the schooling. But check out this info on the tree of knowledge to help you get a better understanding of all the varying views:

The episode tells that we should not imbibe anything when Devil urges us or even a fruit of knowledge can land us in to trouble.God wants us to source the knowledge and other things either directly from HIM or through the authorized sources and outlets.Any further doubts?

God is the source of all knowledge, since He formed everything in Heaven and earth, including the human mind.

However, when Adam and Eve chose knowledge, they chose a different type of knowledge. It was a type of knowledge that they could have WITHOUT relationship with their Father. They could appropriate it for their own use (worldly wisdom, building cities, technology, warfare, etc), without the sacred context of knowing God. True "knowledge" comes from the loving relationship between Father and Children, so when Eve chose the knowledge from the tree, it was a faulty and spiritually dead form of knowledge that God later had to redeem through Jesus Christ.

In my Christian faith, we believe that God gave Adam and Eve two commandments; be fruitful and multiply and do not eat of the tree of knowledge of the good and evil. Adam and Eve were not completely mortal. They were in a quandry. Either way, they would be breaking a commandment of God. That is why God allowed Satan in the guise of a serpent tempt Eve in which she succumbed and then Adam ate also knowing that this had to be. They discovered their nakedness after eating of the tree. This is why God said that Eve would be punished through the pain of her womb and Adam would also have to earn his keep by the sweat of his brow. This was all discussed during the great counsil in Heaven where Lucifer tried to make the claim of returning every soul back to Heavenly Father and take all the glory upon himself and not give credit to God. This was against the plan of salvation where we needed the freedom to choose between good and evil. God has allowed us to gain knowledge in many things to help us in this life. He gave man the inspiration of the Magna Carta that would eventually create a middle class and end serfdom. He inspired men to question the Catholic church and begin to create other Christian beliefs. Men like Luther, Calvin, Menno, and Zwingli. He inspired Columbus to search for an easier route to the Orient and in turn discovered a land inhabited by people unknown to the Europeans. This started the age of discovery and in turn allowed people to colonize the land and escape religious persecution. This would eventually lead God to inspire men to break away from monarchical rule and draft two of the worlds greatest documents; The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution. A forming of a great nation and a belief of freedoms endowed by our creator. God also allowed medical and scientific breakthroughs that allowed doctors to better save people from injuries and diseases. God also inspired people to invent ways to make labor and transportation easier on us like the train, the cotton gin, the steam engine in turned into the cumbustion type of engine. This would translate to the invention of the automobile and ways of supplying electricity to everyone. This might seem longwinded and I am going to stop there. God, in his infinite wisdom gives inspiration to people. It is up to us how we use that wisdom, be it for good or evil.

Consider what the tree of knowledge of good and evil represents, There are two trees it the midst of the garden.
These two trees are the two natures of God.
The tree of knowledge of good and evil is God's righteousness
The tree of life is God's mercy.
Where does a man gain knowledge of good and evil?
From God this tree represents God's law.
Why does the law kill man?
Man could not live up to God's righteousness.
It is the reason for the tree of life.
God knew man had a sin nature and could not live up to the law and thus he provided the tree of life the atonement through Jesus Christ our lord.
This story in Genesis shows us Man's fall and God's plan of salvation.

Right idea...wrong passage.

The Tree that god forbade them to eat from was the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Skip ahead to Proverbs 3:5 though: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

To paraphrase: Don't think about, just accept what you're told.

Actually - it was the tree of the knowledge of GOOD AND EVIL not just the tree of knowledge.

The idea being that God does not want us to have to figure out what is right and wrong on our own. he wanted us to trust and obey him that he would teach us all that was right and we would never have to worry about it.

But instead Adam and Eve chose to decide for themselves what is best for them instead of trusting God - that was the "fruit of the knowledge of good and evil"

More like the inventors of the Abrahamic religion were trying to teach that too much knowlegde was a bad thing. This way, they could limit how much knowledge believers can have.Kind of scary.
