The Isa of Islam is not the Christ of Christianity.
Islam loves the names of prophets but none of the words of the prophets.
One must surely assume the names of God's prophets are used to promote and give credibility to Muhammad's book.

With respect, the teachings of Judaism, Christianity and Islam have many more similarities than differences. To Muslims, the teachings of Mohammed followed on from and added to those of Jesus Christ.

The problem would seem to occur when groups or individuals create too much of a cult around one individual 'prophet' and presume that the teachings of that individual are paramount and exclusive. I do not address these comments towards any particular group.

We need to move on; to learn from all sources of wisdom and live together in peace and harmony.

Be happy!

Muslims don't disregard Jesus. Mohammed acknowledged Jesus as one of the great prophets - and 'an eye for an eye' etc comes from the Old testament, which is accepted as part of the Holy Scriptures by Jews, Christians and Muslims. (Not in order of preference - simply chronologically).

The teachings of Jesus & the same as the teachings of Muhammad (PBUH) because both are prophets of God who sent them with similar messages. The only difference is that we Muslims do not believe fully in Christianity because we believe that it has been tempered with the bible and not all what is says is true. That's why we follow the Qur'an which is the book that God sent as a final book regarding the final religion.

One must remember that Jesus is not the only great teacher in the world. There have been many teachers that have come down the ages such as the Buddha,Krishna,Sivanandaand Sai Baba and so on.There is no such thing as the 'one and only son of God ',that is just a fantasy .there is no such being in all of cosmos Each and every one of us is a son of God and the Master Jesus came to demonstrate this cosmic fact for the benefit of us all.

I'm a muslim. We believe that Jesus was the son of Mary, and that he was born without a father (virgin mary). We also believe that Jesus was a Phrophet (messenger of Allah).

We believe everything written in the Holy Qur'an, as the Holy Qur'an has not been ommitted or altered, nor would it be untill the Day of Judgement.

On the otherhand, the Holy Bible, has been altered various times, leading to false implications of the Christian faith, and in correct teachings.

you are mistaken honorable questioner. jesus is often referred to as a jewish prophet who preached pacifism and a "turn the other cheek when struck" point of view. he is said to have been a great and skilled magician as well and that is assumedly how he earned a living and preached his pacifism at these gatherings. one example of his performances involved "walking on water." his teachings are fragmented and sometimes contradictory to some. but he is a respected religious leader of many people. and his followers like paul certainly had a major impact on the history of mankind.
