i found a tablet in a small bag in my teenager's room and think it may be drugs of some sort as we have other reasons to think so.... the tablet is about 1cm long and oval in shape, with the top half being blue and the bottom half white. Can anybody tell me what sort of tablet or drug this would be?

Is this yours?
This is called flurazepam aka dalmane. This drug is a sedative and scheduled under class IV, meaning it's legal but only under prescription. It's usually prescribed for insomnia. I personally have never seen someone do it for kicks. I also have a feeling (due to it's name) that it has similar effects to roofies...a date rape drug. Does your teen have girls over? Also, if you notice your child not being able to get to sleep then ask them how you could help. If this isn't the pill it, will take a lot of sifting through if not but erowid is a great for specifying street drugs. Be aware that there are always new and different types of drugs everyday. Look under psychoactive pharmaceuticals. You also didn't specify if it was in a gel tab or not. Any chemical could be crushed up and stuck in one of those. I would honestly ask him/her what's going on, if you don't communicate then your line is cut. Lay down some consequences quickly and stick to them. I would notify a doctor or a pharmacist immediately they would know a lot more than anyone here. Also schedule a little surprise check up with your doctor for your teen to let them know your watching. Best of luck.

http://chwhealth.staywellsolutionsonline.com/library/drugreference/ Here's the site I used. I only put in 'oval' and 'blue' then clicked on the ones that were blue and white. You might want to check some of the other shapes--like 'bullet', that might be considered oval. Good luck.

Sounds like a xanax but they're not half white. Is it scored? Is there any marking or imprint code?
