It seems like that's THE answer for everything, when you ask some Christians valid questions about their religion.

To them it is. That is the microscope that they see the world through. For good or ill, right or wrong, it sets the boundries for their reality and they cannot see the world without it.

No it is a stupid argument and anyone who uses it needs to learn some annaylitcal reasoning. Anyone who uses that only uses it because they are to scared to truely examine the question in depth.

For christians it is a valid argument because the bible being real is so deeply rooted in their beleifs. Although that be like saying to a christian this is this way because the koran says so. I Doubt it have much affect on them. I think christians get into a flawed reasoning that just because they are able to experince god, they then assume that bible is true and that there way is the only way to experince god. Which is not true.

Give me all your money. Why? Becayse i said so,

i don't comprehend... after all in case you examine the bible, the 1st Commandment God provides guy is be fruitful and multiply. And the two daughters have been incorrect for what they did, yet they theory that they have been not greater adult adult males in the worldwide. as a manner to get the certainty it could take examine. i recommend strongly against any Greek texts because of the fact there have been no Greeks in that element era... i could say revert decrease back to the Hebrew textual content textile that's greater solid because of the fact it incredibly is from the Hebrew view from which the previous testomony Bible is spoken and not that of Greek Christians.

No, not really. Especially for the people who don't believe. To be honest, I was raised a Catholic, and I'm still being raised a Catholic at my current age of 14 years old. But I'm not truly sure what I believe. I definitely don't believe the Bible is always right, and I also don't believe it can be the answer to everything.

How can you PROVE everything in the Bible is fact? Perhaps another answer to that would be 'because of God's divine revelation, revealing all the answers to everyone who wrote the Bible'. But still, how can you prove THAT?

When you're answering things, and trying to prove a point, you need to use information that is for sure real and that is here on Earth. God can't be 100% proven. Don't waste your whole life worshipping something you're not even sure about.

Well Christians can say the same about whatever others believe, because they will say "because my religion says so" or people will say to Christians "God is fake, he is just as real as the flying spagheti monster" and they cannot back it up with anything, so is it a valid arguement for a person that dislikes Christianity to say something ignorant and stupid with no information like I have said above, or it is a valid statement by the Christians to say "The bible says so" I say neither are valid, for I back most of my answers up with valid support, or evidence, but most people will rebuddle in the dumbest ways. So I say as a Christian, my God is great, and worked wonders in my life, he is excellent, and I Love him for being there for me to carry me through my toughest times, and you can Say the exact same thing, so it is contadictory, and there would be no point in the arguement...

I understand what you're saying, but outside of the semantics of your question, would you be open to the possibility that "argumentative logic" is only one way of getting at truth?

The ancients, the mystics, and people from various faiths all realized that wisdom doesn't necessarily come from the logical coalescence of words into formalized proofs.

It is one way of getting at truth, among others. That is not to say that we should just default to "because the bible says it it's true" mode, but at the same time, logic is an anthropological presence on the human scene - it isn't something so embedded that we HAVE to have it as the underpinning for our whole understanding of reality.

I have to agree.

here are a few more ...

"God Said" ..... God didn't say any thing, some man wrote the bible claiming God said it, and perhaps he did, but a person can not say GOD said, because that a lone is a lie.

"God's will" ... I so much hate it when someone says "it's God's will.

"freedom of choice, God allows you to choose" ... this drives me nuts, because as we do have the freedom to choose, what if I choose to live, and in living I also choose God, but someone evil chooses to kill me? ... How on earth is that right or even just?

~ those are only a few. I don't understand how we can ask a question and get a lame A*S answer like that, and then I will say "well if the bible says so, then it says so" ...
very sore topic for me, but I'm happy I do not stand alone in my search for answers.

The use of the phrase 'valid argument' presupposes the use of logic using deductive or inductive premises. But, as has been pointed out many times in this forum, how can you apply logic to statements about the supernatural which deals with a totally different reality.

For Atheists, it is not a valid argument.

For Theists, it might not be a valid argument.

For Christian, that is the only argument, no matter how ridiculous it is.

no because the bible has been riped apart and rewritten for ages by so many kings and religious scholars that its not accurate. There are parts missing and its all a matter of interpretation. Most christians will not admit this. If you really really read the bible I think you'd be shocked by some of the content.

check this out for a good laugh, it might help with some of your obessed christian encounters

If it is the best a Christian can come up with, then absolutely not. That is merely using the Bible as an excuse not to find the real reasons why God's word says what it does--the 'WHY' is just as important as the words themselves.
