I understand that religion supposedly explains all of the reasons that humans exist, and all of the things that god did, but if a god really exists, then shouldn't he personally communicate with us about it? Why do we need a religion to tell us how things went and explain details when god could personally just let us know things. It can compare to having a boss at work. You wouldn't need a 500 page manual explaining the purpose of your boss and what he expects out of you when all he has to do is come up and tell you what is going on with work. So it seems that the same should apply with god. It would definitely straighten out the whole 100 different types of religions and million types of gods people speak about.

Take for example InSeattle. He is a perfect example of a mindless christian. He just believes what is told to him without questioning anything. You have to question things in life, especially when they are religious BELIEFS. It is fine to go along with a trend and believe what that trend states is true, but at the same time, you should be questioning it. Nothing improves in life unless it is questioned. Take pluto for example. It was considered a planet for a long time, then it's situation was questioned, now it considered a dwarf planet. It's existence is still the same, it's just under a different classification. But like religion exists, there is no reason not to question it. It actually helps clear up misunderstandings and even help find the truth. Don't be a mindless sheep man.

It's so that people can bicker back and forth saying how great their religion is even though God is in fact left out of the equation a lot. There is always another religion explaining what makes them so great. If they're so great then why do they place so much emphasis into their religion and church and so little into God?

Idio, now listen...I think you're flogging it a little bit...are you Christian baiting? What do you think of the aphorism.."Seek ye first to understand?" Would you rather understand, or just keep the argument alive? What's the point of that?
Religion is about as easy to get as different languages in different parts of the world. I used to live at the edge of the Navajo reservation when I was a kid in New Mexico, and we used to go to the reservation church,'coz it was closer, and they were friendlier, more humble.
Well, guess what? Their baby Jesus in the manger
had brown skin, and I never had a problem with that. I got
it, that man creates God in the image most comfortable to that area of the world. That how it compares a little to language..all different ...all ok..
Maybe you. Idio, have the intelligence not to seek or care about spiritual instruction, but there's no reason to condemn those that do...and speaking of Christian...isn't the most Christian thing to do is walk away from the fight? Seek ye first to understand, that he who shouts the loudest isn't neccessarily winning.,and he who loses his temper, has already lost the fight.
If the word religion is too offensive, use the phrase "belief system" instead. People who have one,
Atheists included, tend to be better for it. We already see the foul results in the daily news of people who are godless, or have no belief system, or who don't live by it...dog-fightin',
molestin' priests,Iraq invasion, sex slave rings, serial killers, ...I got more...wannna hear more??..I would rather leave a Christian alone, than allow any of this other cr_p to continue by people who had no belief system, or who are "overshattered" by greed, godlessness, avarice, evil, anger, no compassion or humanity... there is so much of that. What are you gonna do about that? Any religion that has the moral high ground to teach : "Seek to harm no one" --I say, "Leave 'em alone." We have much more real problems out there than "the concept of God".

mutually as i in my opinion don't have self assurance contained in the existence of god, nor contained in the words of the bible i'm going to answer your question objectively. The God it relatively is accompanied in all Christian religions is a Jewish god, certainly Jesus from the bible (being god in human type) replaced right into a Jew. So it makes in basic terms logical sense that by using fact you think in a Jewish god which you should be a Jew. That mentioned, in case you do no longer locate any organised faith passable, who mentioned you could desire to label your self as something? Did you ever think of which you would be able to possibly basically have self assurance what you think and go away it at that? on the different hand, the belief of God skill you the two ought to take each and everything or no longer something. it relatively is to assert, you truly won't be able to %. and chosen the bits you're prepared to have self assurance. that's the two all fact or that's fabricated.

God did, and does communicate with us.
The first book of the Bible is Genesis
written by God, using the hand of Moses.
God told Moses about his Creation.
God talked to Abraham, and many others.
God Is with his people, read the Bible
King James version
(KJV) then you will see " past to present "
and future.

Religion is a word. There are many different
TYPES OF RELIGIONS.
There are more then 100, that's for sure.

There is only one God,
the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.

Be careful of the information you let into
your mind, because you seem very unsure.

With Prayer, and reading Gods Word the
Bible you will become stronger.

Bible based religions believe that man has lost connection with God. The word 'religion' mean 're-bind' or reconnect. The method of reconnection is supposedly in scriptures based on the words of prophets who have acquired the knowledge.
Communication is only effective if the transmitter and the the receiver are attuned. If the transmitter is constantly transmitting the message but the receiver is switch off or tuned in to the wrong wavelength then the message doesn't get through. To be attuned is to be atoned is to be 'at one'. Scriptures are supposed to tell you how, but most of them have been hijacked by power hungry priests, mullahs, pharisees, kings and politicians etc. and corrupted.

If, if, if , if, I dont hold the religion I have now and with my experience losing my little sister when I was young and made me need to have a "caretaker" for her, that means I had God started in my early age, ....I would be lost.

I need a path, I always asked question :
"why", "how", "why not", "What about" , " how could it be",
Those questions was really hated by my previous religion preacher.

But I ALWAYS WANT TO believe in a "caretaker", whoever might be, as I wanted my sister safe and looked after.

As I grew up, I found lots of religions.
What I am looking for, is the description of "the caretaker" .

I love what Islam define their God. It's just Names.
There are 99 Names, which I can understand and 1 which is unlimited and not understood.

Only, after I found my God then I started to learn about that religion and what does it say in their noble book.
Qur'an is mainly introducing about God. All the descriptions, to me, is about God.
And always say : "Cant you THINK!"

Anyway, I choose Islam, because Iam satisfied with Islamic description about GOD. Islam is a religion, so i have areligion.
It's so simple. I like the description in Qur'an about God, the "CARETAKER" who Looks after my sister.

The other Gods, which I read in the other books except TAO, I dont really like. Does not satisfy me. Description about TAO to some extend is fullfilling. The philosophy is very similar to what my father always told me when I was young so I am familiar, but it's a philosophy of life, I need something MORE.
For the Western, especially here in Yahoo, I know it's not appealing , but ....I dont care.
It's my choice. I choose : Islam, I like their God. I need the book, I need Qur'an,
I choose Muhammad s.a.w. as my prophet after I read the Hadiths ( Qudsy, Buchari and Muslim --->3 names ).

But that's only me. ( I dont know what my other family think, we never discuss religion, it's a too sensitive issue )

Thats the problem, he does communicate with us, ALL the time, but almost all the time we are too blind and deaf, or stubborn, to take the time and listen. All you have to do to hear him is listen, open your eyes, and be willing to believe. Thats why people have such a problem believing in God, because you cant see him. And unless you Believe, you cant hear him either.

God does communicate with us. People just refuse to listen most of the time. That's the sad part of this epidemic.

Because God wanted to give us free choice so we wouldn't just be like an army of robots. He wanted us to choose Him, truth, out of all the other garbage out there.
