Is this really believable or just like old wife stories?

No, it isn't believable, but lots of people do strange things when they get too much moonlight, they don't call them "loony" for nothing.
"loony" and "lunar" share a common etymology, both are related to the moon

Of course not. The only proven thing is that there are a bit more babies born during a full moon period. All the rest is rubbish.
If the moon had any real unfluence on the development of a baby, a roof wouldn't stop it ;o)

you realize i do no longer understand actual, yet to be undemanding I did and do placed on a secure practices pin. LOL i think of via fact the different guy suggested possibly it Mexicans via fact i'm Mexican and with my first daughter Their became into an eclipse and a woman I labored with gave me a secure practices pin and suggested placed it on your pants and that i did. I do placed on the pin and it does supply me a sensataion of risk-free practices jajajaja.

It's not even worthy of being old wives tales.It's a plain and pure superstition.Many Tribals and villagers don't even know about date and time of it's occurrence and continue with normal activities without any ill effects whatsoever.
