how do i load a movie from my video camera onto my macbook?

how do i load a movie from my videocamera onto my macbook?

i have the usbcord and i dont know where to go so i can load the contents of the tape onto the macbook laptop.

should i use iMovie?

-how also do i erase movies made with iMovie?

if you can use iMovie and are successful at viewing the camera's contents then yes, by all means use iMovie to import the movie. To delete projects just drag the icon into the trash can.
