definately "lolz"...
rofl is okay for more amused scenarios or jokes that make you smile (lol is like a chuckle, not necesseraly a smile).
if you friend is drinking a milkshake and takes out his straw and it drips all over your designed factory pre-ripped and pre-patched pants and you say "OMGZ, stick that thing back in!!! your getting white sticky stuff all over my designer pants!!!", then i beleive roflmao would be appropriate.
if you are dancing with you gf, and acidentally step on her high heels, and she falls down, and in the process rips her dress; exposing her breast area for full public display, then "roflmfao" at the male person responsible would be, I thinks, considered appropriate.
and thats all I have to say about that.

I use lol when I think somethin is funny, and sometimes lmao when I really start to laugh. I don't use rofl cuz I'm not even close to rollin on the floor.
Oh yea, and I use jajaja when I say somethin occasionally in Espanol, or if someone else does. :)

I generally stick with lol, with the occational lmao/rofl. I've even used laff a few times.

I use "lol" most of the time. It's quick and easy to type. If you use one of the others all the time, it kind of leaves you nowhere to go when you think something is REALLY funny :-)

i admit, i use LOL every now and then. Even thought it's rare that I was actually "laughing out loud" =o)
