My husband and I NEVER have any money.....he's in the airforce, and I am in school, and I dont work!
I cant stand not being able to live my life and have fun because we never have any money!!!

Even though I am in school....I feel like I am going nowhere with it, and I have NO idea what I want to do!!!

Having a family someday is also important to me....I am only 19, so I dont want to have a baby yet, but maybe in two years or so! So, by the time we had the baby my time would soon be over, and my husbands would be over because we are not planning on staying in the military as a career. I just want them to pay for my schooling, and save up some money for my future!

A couple of things to think about:
There are no two year enlistments for the Air Force
Don't take the decision too lightly
If you're already in school why not finish, it's not good to switch from thing to thing, once you switch to the military there's no switching back until your contract is up
Double military families have a LOT of stress, exspecially if one gets deployed
You're earning potential greatly increases with a degree
If Serving your country is not on your list of reasons to join DON'T JOIN
Why don't you just get a part time job for extra money?

I agree with Jon. Just because you don't have any extra money is NOT a good reason to join the military, no matter the branch.

GET YOUR DEGREE!!! There are dues to be paid for any and everything. You are paying your dues now. If you think it is hard, imagine if you had a child to take care of along with going to school, and not having any extra money. Hubby could be deployed, and you there alone. You may think you have it bad, but you are not doing to bad at all. This experience is teaching you two some valuable lessons that will benefit you in the future, if you pay attention. You are doing better than a LOT of teens.

Take a look at your finances. Do you have any spending that can be cut out? Not buying this, or not doing that could leave you with some extra cash to do a night out together, or whatever you want to do, but can't currently. Not saying you don't know how to manage your money, but we ALL have money that we waste on something....even if it is only some change. Pennies add up to dollars, and silver adds up even FASTER. Check your finances and eliminate the waste. Does hubby take a lunch to work, or buy from a resturant? Ask him to think about eating at the galley, or whatever the Air Force calls their dining facility, or taking a lunch to work.....like leftovers. Those meal savings will add up faster than you think. You could also think about getting a part time job, depending upon your class schedules and course load. If nothing else, think about baby sitting for other families on base. There maybe some positions available at the commissary, etc. If you have any skills or hobbies that can translate into generating an income.....consider it. A hobby you can make money with is a GREAT hobby.

I hope this helps, and GOOD luck!!!
