He says **** about everybody. Everyone kind of just sits there and takes it but it really is demoralizing. I hate going to work (but I have to, bills to pay). Is there some way to get this guy fired?

Ok, so your boss talks **** on everybody.. Not a big deal-he's a jerk... Accept it and move on.. Just do your job the best that you can and who cares what he thinks.. You go to work to pay bills and support yourself/family etc.. Not to make friends with your boss or anyone else for that matter... If his opinion of you matters than take it up with him in a meeting personally... Call him on the carpet in a respectful manner, have his boss attend the meeting as a third neutral party and have documentation of his "goings on".. .I guarantee that he would probably stop saying things about everyone IF that happened ! You would as employees have to have a unified front to do so... Which is nearly impossible but, worth a shot.. So, just ignore his comments or be prepared to do something about them... The choice is yours... If you find another job- GET a recommendation first and get the guy fired.. TRUST me it's so totally satisfying ! Been there/done that....

Why does he hate everybody? I think he is too temperamental to be a manager in the first place. Being a manager, he is supposed to lead, doing planning, motivating and controlling, and not scolding people especially behind them. Start looking for other jobs.

Be reminded that you can't change your boss but your boss can change you. This is only a job so don't take it too seriously or emotionally. Meanwhile, start looking around for other job offers.

n be nice also 2 ur boss. who knows he needs ur help. if ur boss's boss know this, may be u'll get promotion
