Few things all of can start to do
1.Everyone get at least one cloth reusable grocery bag each, will mean less plastic.
2Stop buying Gas Guzzling SUV's, it is not so important to make everyone so comfortable whilst driving, whilst some Americans are laying down their lives in Iraq for the oil. Our dependence on foreigh oil is making us very vulnerable.
3. Everyone get used to bathing with luewarm water, and drinking tap water, Give up the plastic bottles
4. Start insisting on buying everying American, maybe slowly we can take back some of the industry that has forever gone to places like India and China. We should be having our own people on the swithboards in buildings built on our Lands, and bring back life to all those empty mills and factories in the US

Global Warming is half of a 1500 heating and cooling cycle. Nothing we can do can alter it.

You know, we are lucky to have lived at this time of the Earths history. We are the first civilizations to discover oil and use it. There is no guarantee that we will even survive wars, natural calamities, eg.
There is enough oil for 400 years. I say lets enjoy our discoveries. We found it, we should enjoy it.
Any other civilizations never figured it out. Humans have lived for thousands of years on this planet without oil. So they just have to figure out how to live without it again. To me it means living like the Amish. No electricity, no cars, grow your own gardens, etc.
Why not enjoy heaven on Earth now. Future generations can read about our times. And dream.
Why continually worry about the future? People are adaptable. They can figure out something for themselves.
It's never talked about, but there is a huge brown cloud over India and China. It could well be the 'cause' of GW, and have nothing to do with the US or others. It comes from over a billion people in each of those countrys burning cow dung to cook and to heat their homes. It amounts to a blanket of insulation to warm the entire Earth. It can be seen from satellites.

All of these things are such an infinitesimal drop in the bucket that they are a complete and utter waste of time and effort. To really deal with CO2, which is popularly supposed but utterly unproven to be a cause of global warming, would cost a stupendous effort: the UN has proposed a program to do so, with a price tag of $557,000,000,000,000 -- far more than the total value of every asset on the planet.

My dear, the earth will adjust itself, or we will adjust with it or die. Ever heard of evolution?
