Look at it like this. The point of accepting Jesus in your life is so that one will learn to become Christlike, and by becoming Christ like, we become the people God wants us to be. But since a baby has not accepted God, how can they go to heaven? It doesn't matter if they are not "accountable" or that they can't choose right or wrong. The point is, they have not accepted Christ.
People say babies go to heaven because it makes them feel better. But Biblically speaking... they should not. Furthermore, the Bible never says babies get a free pass.

It's funny how nearly every response on here accuses me of saying "babies go to hell", when I never mentioned the word hell even once. Not once! I said babies don't go to heaven. If you can not comprehend the difference, then I need not even waste my time writing more.
Furthermore, I'm not stating this as fact or even as my absolute opinion. I'm simply stating the way it would seem to be.
In conclusion: Do more thinking before you type. All of you.

You're right in saying that the Bible "never says babies get a free pass."
Instead it says, "Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." --Matthew 19:14

You're right ... but there's a lot of bogus theology out there that leads people to believe otherwise.
Death is the universal penalty for sin, so the fact that babies are subject to death is proof that they are somehow affected by sin.
Anyone stained by sin, absent baptism, and absent some sort of unknown divine intervention, is not fit to be admitted to heaven.
This does not mean they go to hell. We simply do not have any divine guidance or authentic revelation on the matter.
In truth, no one can say what happens to the souls of the unbaptized, who are the inheritors of Adam's original sin, but otherwise, blameless.

You just made me remember what I thought. Babies don't have a concept of much anything, how would they know if they were in heaven or not (obviously they wouldn't go to hell)....like londonlover said, they are as pure as a human can be.

Most babies don't know what hot things are, either. They haven't touched any stoves and learned the meaning of 'hot', have they? Therefore, babies in hell don't feel pain. Maybe hell is just one big nursery, and that is why it is so painful for adults.

you are right. they don't go to heaven bc there is no heaven and they don't go to hell because there isn't any hell.
Mother Earth takes us all back, and what else happens, we will never know while we live on this planet.

a baby has never commited sin so why should it go to hell? it is innocent in every sense and died because God intended it to.
