i am shy at first
but then not at all
im not meeting any boys that want to stay with me
i am in the point of my life where i am ready for a stable relationship. All they want to do is mess around
i do have slightly high standards
and i want a certain type of guy
what others would call "emo, scene, punk"... whatever
any advice helps

Its' not bad thing that you have your standards when it comes to men. If you didn't it would have been a problem. it means that you will take anything you'll get lol. well, if you are looking for relationships and not random hookups, the best thing to do is change the scene where you meet men. I mean if you are meeting someone at a club, it will surely be a random hookup. it will end before you even know it happened. On the other hand, if you meet someone at work, or a class, if may end up in relationship. you see the difference? at work or college/school etc, there is responsibility in the scene. the man is going to be there on a routine.. but clubs are for momentary fun...

if you want a long term relationship, first cut your list for this "slightly high standards" for men. You will never find the real person who deserve your love if you put wall because of your standards. Maybe the guy who dont have all the qualities you required are the guy who will truly love you. Love does not come at first sight...Dont be on a hurry and dont pressure yourself . Real love will come along. There is someone out there who is worth of your love.Just be yourself and enjoy your life. The more you love the more you succeed(i mean the more you give love to that certain man the more he will fall into you...)so good luck. :,)

The first thing is to have some real standards for yourself. Quit messing with BOYS.
Find more stable and mature MEN to keep company with.
The club scene is not likely going to be where you are going to find them.
"Emo, scene, punk" are simply styles, and they are adaptable. The thing that cannot be adapted is one's outlook and emotional and mental maturity.
