you shouldn't be losing weight for anyone but yourself. if your boyfriend loves you, he will love you for who/what you are right now...

that said, if you want to lose weight for YOU, it sounds like you have had a very difficult time of it and might want to see a therapist to work out any issues you still have about your father. i can see how this would affect your self image...

in order to lose weight, you need to both diet and exercise. for diet, if you cut out all sugary beverages, experts say this will make you lose up to 10 lbs a year. just drink water instead of coke/juice/whatever. it will also improve your skin and overall health. i also try to eat one salad a day as a meal. a big yummy salad with fruit and veggies is healthy and filling!

in terms of exercise, you need to find what you enjoy otherwise you won't do it! little things like taking the stairs every chance you get and walking instead of driving will definitely help. if you enjoy swimming, do that. if you enjoy dancing, find a dance aerobics class. pilates helps tone muscle. i do billy's bootcamp, but it is quite difficult if you aren't used to exercising.

the simplest thing is to walk at least 30 minutes a day. fast paced brisk walk.

also, set easy to attain goals for yourself. don't focus on losing a certain amount of weight. your goals could be things like 'drink 8 glasses of water a day' 'exercise for 30 minutes 3 times a week' 'eat one salad everyday' 'no soda every other day'

this way, you will slowly but SURELY make progress! if you go too quickly, you might just end up where you are now in a few months. the goal should be overall health, not a target weight!!!

GOOD LUCK!

It sounds like you've been through a lot .
The last thing you need is to have a man in your life who is putting a great deal of pressure for you to look good for him .
You should look good for yourself, because your the one living your life and noone elses opinions should matter .
30 pounds isn't actually that much to lose, the key is to think positively and maybe get involved in a sport or something physical that you enjoy .
Also, you should loose the boyfriend he's only bringing you down .
You deserve a man who shouldn't care if you gain 30 or even 100 pounds, because if it was real love he would still see you as the beautiful person you were when you first got together .

You are NOT fats! You are at the low part of usual. You do not must lose any weight. Your boyfriend will have to love you for you and if he needs to difference matters approximately you he is rather no longer an excessively well boyfriend. Please do not starve your self! That's the worst factor you'll do and the minute you start to devour often once more you can attain the entire weight again. If you wish to shed pounds, do it for YOU and no longer for anyone else! And for those who do come to a decision to lose, simply devour HEALTHY, no junk, and determine.

Try the atkins diet, or more commonly known as the "low-carb diet". This diet is effective for temporary effects, but for long term results, you must exercise regularly and watch what you eat after the diet is finished. The human body uses carbohydrates as the primary source of energy, then lipids, then proteins. Hence, if you consume as little carbs as possible, your body will not have enough carbs to use, and will burn lipids for energy. This is how the atkins diet work. After you've reached your satisfactory weight, I suggest you stop using the diet and exercise regularly, as well as eating healthy. These are the basic rules for living a healthy and fit life.

PS. This diet may be biologically unhealthy as you may not consume enough of essential nutrients. Use at your own risk.

If you want to lose weight do it for yourself. Not for your boyfriend. Walk instead of catching the bus or whatever whenever you can. You could join a gym.

First, dump your boyfriend. If he wants you for your body, that's definitely not good.
Two, get help on your father issue. Abuse isn't going to help.
Three, don't try too hard. Eventually, you'll find yourself back. Do things you used to love, whether it's dancing or playing sports. Truth in time will tell (totally stole that from The Hills). =]

In order to lose weight, your body must burn more calories than it takes in, but keep in mind that your body needs calories for energy and when you exercise; your body needs even more calories.
