Yes, he can but only if he signs over all his parental rights and if he does this he'll have no rights what so ever over your baby, you'll be the one with all the rights.

Be sure to keep his full name and social security number handy. You'll need it. And no, he can't just "not pay" because he's being a pathetic juvenile loser.
Take him to court. They WILL order a DNA test, which you may have to pay for, but in the end, if it's truly his, there's no reason you wouldn't get child support.
And as a sidenote, are you sure that the "not working out" thing doesn't have anything to do with pregnancy hormones making you pissy? I had that problem myself, but my husband and I have been together 10 years now and all's well...just something to think about. raising a kid on your own is no picnic, child support or no.

All you have to do is dot your I's and cross your T's.
Get a blood test after the baby is born. That is where the proof is.
Then, pursue legal action from there.
Here are some rules for the State of Oregon. Check your state as well.

Don't get all emotional and start arguing about things. That isn't going to help at all. When you have the law on your side there's nothing the defending party can do but comply.

Yes he can just leave you but eventually after the baby is born you can get things done. All you need to do after you have the baby is do a paternity test with him (these can be court ordered) and once it shows he is the father then he will be ordered by a judge to pay child support. I havent done this with my son only because I dont want someone in my sons life that doesnt want to be.

That's ridiculous. You should check around and see about filing for child support. You should have a local child support recovery unit. They will work with you on getting support so he can't just walk away. Don't feel so bad though hunny. There are so many moms out there who are going through this too! I am one of them. Just keep in mind though, if he walks out on that childs life...it's probably for the best. I know it was for my children. They are 4 and 2 1/2 and don't know their real father. Just remember...we are women and we are strong! Just make sure when you have that baby...file that child support! Good Luck!!

All right, calm down. I feel sympethy for you! THats horible! Thats happened to a lot of poeple but most survive. You'll be okay.
ASK YOUSELF THESE QUESTIONS:
1.Do you love each other?
2. Was everything okay (between your relationship) untill you told him you were pregnant?
Consider asking him if he is scared about having a kid or being a father?
Most guys are scared of that stuff and are not prepared. Dont only think about him abandoning you but how he might feel and talk to him about this. It can turn things around, all things change. Get some ice cream and eat it in one day. Not because your sad...if you are...but because its yummy!

No, a DNA test will prove he is the dad & he will have to pay child support. but on the flip side he can take the child for visitation . You have to decide if he is dangerous or just a jacka**. Once the child is born go to social services & take out child support. I would speak with the nurse at the hospital. She can probably give you some advice on where to get started. If he is dangerous & you feel he may hurt you, maybe its best to let him go.

get csa involved he is irresponsible do not stay for the childs sake that makes you irresponsible a child does not need 2 irresponsible parents they did not ask to be born atall so not childs fault its both the parents at fault for creating an unwanted child and after 6 months together really you could be accused of trapping him what where you thinking i was with my ex 5 years before i had my child he then left for someone else if you give your self to freely you will end up with a dozen children to a dozen different fathers and not one of those fathers will pay a penny towards their kids cause you will be seen as easy so grow up a bit and have a bit more respect for yourself

A guy can do what ever he wants when it comes to denying a child, and bailing out on his family. What they don't know, is that you can go after him for all he is worth. Child support, health insurance, Stuff like that. So its either he stays around, and helps you out, or he leaves, and u kick him in the a$$ and go after him. Make him pay for what he made, and be a man and stand up for his own actions.
