I understand, one set of clothing, travel-sized hygene products, etc. But can I bring my retainer for my teeth and can I bring my rosary and St. Michael pendent.

You have to take your retainer because it's a medical thing, and your rosary is a religious item. Should be good to go. Here's something for you, if you have a file on your fingernail clippers, break it off. Or they'll do it for you. And no Scissors.

You can bring relegious and medical items. Your recruiter should have a packing list for you. Bring only the items on the list and thing will be a lot easier for you. Dont try to bring 3 suitcases like I saw some try to do. The Drill Sergeants will have a hay day with that. Bare minimum is all you want. I saw some only bring a small handbag with toiletries and the clothes they were wearing. Thats all you need really.

Dont know what BCT is only if you are going to basic training, then you can take all those things. Less is better and from you described you have it downpacked. Once you go to AIT you will be able to take leave, so when you go home (before you get sent off to your duty station) you can pack up what you left behind before. Right now you want to travel light.
They are going to give you more than enough stuff to carry later, with the duffelbag. That was were I first discovered the ease of having the fold up luggage racks. It helped wheel my stuff around then trying to carry it on my back.

Medical and religious items are permitted... if for some reason you can't have them they will keep them locked up until graduation.

Yes, you can bring these things, but don't bring anything more.
