Do Intelligence Agencies training advance with sociology and psychology or are they still similar to Cold War?

Are Intelligence Agencies now training at a much more advanced level in psychology, and sociology or are methods much the same as the Cold War? I was thinking as psychological methods such as hypnotism and body language develop, then the training for intelligence agencies would develop.

That type of thing is starting to come back, although I dont think hypnotism is used much. The focus of intel is switching back to human intellegence from signal and image intellegence that was overly focused on in the 1990s.
