I have been dating this guy, who so far has been a total jerk, for about 16 months now & he tells me around 9:00 pm, "I am going to get the car looked at, over at my friend's shop...I will be back in an hour & a half.", and now it is midnight & I haven't received one call as to his where abouts, he has the only car we have & I have to work tomorrow...right now I am stranded at my dad's....no one can take me home....he doesn't have a cell phone....I know his "friend" has got to have a phone....I feel so ....I don't even know the word....I am very upset & I guess I just needed to vent....Everytime this happens I want to leave him but then I tell myself, You work to pay the rent & if you leave him....who's gonna pay the rest of the bills? Who's wrong here?

He sounds pretty irresponsible and I'm sure that's not going to change soon.. but remember no one is perfect. Do you have more good days or bad?

First off... you are living with this creep? Why?
Do you know that in most states you could be considered common-law married and be held responsible for any debts he runs up? That is so stupid!

It looks like you are there to "service him", help him pay the bills and probably do all the cleaning. This is not an even relationship. You are being used. Move out. If any of the utilities have your name on them, close the accounts so they won't chase you down for payment!

Go back to live with your parents, and see if they can help you get a vehicle... even if it is just a scooter. Save some money.

Don't sell yourself short. Don't move in with a guy you are "dating". If there isn't a real relationship and commitment, we're talking an engagement ring and a wedding date set, don't bother moving in with a guy!
Get it right and get it all, or don't bother! Divorces are relatively cheap... a couple hundred dollars.

You need to become independent and take responsibilities for yourself. Leave him, i doubt hes doing something good.
