For the last couple of days, my car is very sluggish when I accelerate. The RPMs look fine, but the car feels like it's almost redlining to get moving. This happens from stop to first, first to second, etc. Once I'm at speed it seems normal.

Also, I discovered tonight that when I put it into idle and release the clutch, the engine doesn't die.

Fuel issue or transmission issue?

"You're not making sense. How can the rpms be normal if the car feels like it's almost redlining?"

That's why I'm asking the question. It feels (and sounds) like 5000-7000 rpms at 3000.

when you have accomplished all those maintenance , if the automobile besides the transmission subject seen to function ok ( I recommend not the form off a automobile that gets broken each time you gets a commission), The physique is in stable subject so because of the fact the interiors you may desire to evaluate doing the replace because of the fact the final mayor fix and look at yet another automobile primary to be solid at a furter time and asuming it does not provide you greater mayor problems for a together as that element would be stable to save some money for the subsequent automobile which with that added money save could be even greater effective and get as I say the final drop out of the Saturn for the money invested.

not the transmission , i would check the sensors out , have it hooked up to a computer first so you dont change every sensor on the vehicle before you get the one causing the problem, the only way it could be the tranny is if it is out of oil and dry, this would make the tranny tight and ready to seize , the engine is the problem if it wont idle

If you meant neutral instead of idle, that's what it's supposed to do.

If you think it's your clutch, drive you truck up to a curb, put the truck into 1st and slowly release the clutch. If the truck stalls, it's not a tranny issue. If it doesn't stall, you need a new clutch assembly.
