Bed-bugs, or "dust mites" are what you want to call them. These are microscopic little vermin that live in every ones mattresses and live off the skin that's sloughed off by your body.
Most people are allergic to these little pests, it's not the bugs in themselves but, their excrement that your allergic to.
A good vacuuming once a week, wash your sheets three times a week should help. They don't like light or fresh air, it stops them from breeding.
To leave your bed unmade helps really. But make a habit of washing the sheets and the bedding three times a week, vacuum the mattresses once a week. It doesn't hurt to clean the room, under the bed, the curtains, open the windows as much as possible, etc.
