I hear that most ppl take baby aspirin because if you take the regular strength (325mg) then it can cause your blood to get "too" thin, and cause bleeding problems. Baby aspirin is a little more expensive then regular aspirin and I am kinda a cheap scape. (true) so I was wanting to know if I do take regular aspirin (once again 325mg) do I need to take it daily or bi-daily. Thanx in advanced, and God Bless

Generally I would say NO, it is not safe.
Though there are some research findings that daily regular dose of aspirin helps to prevent different cancer, the risk of bleeding as the side effect of regular use will always be there.

The use of low dose aspirin (baby aspirin) was found to prevent heart attacks. At your age, I believe you are too young to be proned to heart attack not unless you already have an existing factors putting you at high risk to an attack. otherwise, it would be by far more healthier and safer to take good care of your health by having balanced diet, regular exercise, enough sleep, avoiding any sort of abuse that would affect your health, etc.. Stay and live healthy- that would be the best.

Another important thing is that because you are also taking Paxil. Paxil is a drug that interferes with serotonin re-uptake and has been associated with with some occurrences of gastrointestinal bleeding. Concomitant use of Paxil (paroxetine) with aspirin,NSAIDs or other drugs that affect coagulation would increase the risk of bleeding further.

Take care of your health!

There is a compromise! Nearly every drug store sells a pill splitter so you can cut a pill in half. Then you can take half the reg strength & still be cheap. Many across the nation are cutting or splitting pills this way because it is cheaper & saves big in many cases. Always discuss with your Dr. for the best advice. You can look up info on web md as well.

Taking aspirin daily is common in older people who are at risk for heart attacks. You should always talk to your doctor before beginning an Aspirin regimen.

I think one of the main concerns with asprin is how it effects the linning of your stomach.
It can also cause you to bleed, I know if you are to have any operations they will tell you to stop all asprin two weeks before.
