Dear Truth 6 Thumbs Up
As stated by the others Goliath had the 4 brothers, hence the FIVE river rocks. And his faith in both his own slinging, and God to guide his stones meant he would only need one for each of the Philistine giants.
They were SMOOTH river rocks because irregular surfaces create additional drag that effects both range and flight path. So for the stones to fly far and true they needed to be smoothed by the flow of the river water.
It’s the same reason kids today use steel ball Barings or glass marbles in there slingshots

The reference is to David the shepherd preparing to do battle with the invading Philistine giant, Goliath. The only thing David armed himself with was five smooth stones out of the brook.
