I need to look at those and see how prominently BY's polygamy played into lessons on the other 99.9% of 19th century LDS teachings that were not related to polygamy. I'm going to guess that they didn't change much.
Of much larger note: why do you keep parroting:
"polygamy was revealed as a REQUIREMENT to get into the Celestial Kingdom?"
I've corrected your "D&C 132 sez celestial marriage=plural marriage" notion 3 times when you (and Al Shaitan) have said this. Not going to go into it again, so you'll have to actually read my previous answers.

The answer is that they wouldn't do that. Not only would it be dishonest, but ridiculous. The lesson manuals have not been changed to downplay plural marriage as practiced by Brigham Young. If anyone knows anything about Mormonism they know that Brigham Young had many wives. No one can ignore that fact, nor would we want to. We are quite happy to know that Brigham Young was faithful to the revealed word of the Lord at that time.
You are mistaken in claiming that polygamy was ever a requirement to get into the Celestial Kingdom. Please stop repeating this mistake made by the anti-Mormon faction. It tends to make you look prejudiced against the Mormons. It lessens your credibility. Thank you.

Guess what, Bud? The president of our church has only had one wife, and I believe he is more qualified than any to enter the Celestial Kingdom. There is absolutely no requirement to be a polygamist to enter the Celestial Kingdom.

Like any con-game, the mormon cult has to backpedal and dissemble on a regular basis.
Of course if they were interested in truth, they would give Rev. Solomon Spaulding credit for writing the book of mormon (do they know he used the name of a Greek demon?) which was intended to be a work of fiction.
People need to wake up to what the mormons are up to with youth groups, business and politics.
The avenging angels are alive and well.

I was reading a book on utah and it has a picture of young with his family. Now a days polygamy is not allowed in the church.
Its like the temple no on can see it unless they have their temple recommend card. I was only able to go to the visitor center with my grandparents. Sorry but things have changed now a days. A girl meets a guy and they like eachother they get married in the mormon religion they should get married in the temple. My grandparents met in UTAH and been married for 45 years and they wanted to have a temple wedding. so they got married again in the temple for the first time.

That lesson manual was not intended to make any sort of statement about plural marriage. If it were to mention his marriages to all his wives, it would take up half the book. So, it only mentions the highlights. I think it mentions only his first wives; Miriam Works and Mary Ann Angell. The church; didn't make up that lesson manual for the satisfaction of anti-Mormons.

Brigham Young could go on any trolly in any direction in Salt Lake City and still end up at home.
Most all of the original works of the Mormon Church has been changed. The Journal of Discourses, if you can find them, is something they don't want anyone to read. The Book of Mormon has been changed many times to conform to the political climate of the times. Many texts and speeches by past prophets concerning the black race has been changed. The original Book of Mormon had the phrase "white and delightsome" removed. Also, it is still believed that a person cannot become a God with only one wife.

You mean after they took out all references to Joseph Smith's multiple wives, the church is cleaning up Brigham's act too? Can Parley P be too far behind? Are they going to retouch all the photos too, in hopes that all the history will disappear so Romney can get elected?
Wow. Church history is a constant Marvelous Works and Wonder in Progress.

You have to understand that yes it was practised but it was practised to take care of widows and to support them not just for the fun of having heaps of wives and sleeping around. Where as, that's how society looked at and practised polygamy and the "sleeping around" thing. We Mormons DON'T practise polygamy these days. I know you know what we believe. Just because you left the church doesn't mean you have to criticize it. We know what we believe!

Who cares about polygamy, it was accepted in the Bible, then it wasn't, it was accepted in our Church and now it's not. People just don't read the Old Testament so they think it was all for the sex. Imbeciles. Read and study it for yourself, then ask questions. Not saying this to you Cheese, since you already know the answer.
