A bunch of people are answering that question by saying that they are the same God, and then calling me names.

How the hell are they the same god? Muslims, guess what, don't think Jesus is god. They don't have the same text. And according to the Bible, Muslims aren't going to heaven. According to Muslims, Christians arent going to heaven. The word God means the word Allah, but they arent the same god, come on.

Ø PATRICK the CARPATHIAN Ø:

"Islam, Christianity and Judaism are considered Abrahamic religions"

English and French are both Latin languages, but that does not mean they are the same language.

Yes, this is probably from the crowd of people that are fond of saying "All religions are the same"

God in the Quran is just a BIT different from the God in the Bible.

Example:

Quran God: Die in Jihad, get 72 virgins.

Bible God: Anyone that looks at someone else with lust has already committed adultery in their heart. Which God does not approve of.

A bit of difference.

Sam God diferent Prophets. Christians believe in Jesus the Christ muslims do not believe the Christ Has Come yet but they aknkowledge Jesus as a prophet.

The bible splits ways at the story of Abraham. Ishmeal, the bastard son of Abraham is the Father of the Muslims. Isaac, Abrahams legitimate son with his wife Sarah is the son that the Hebrews and futire christians claim. Same God. Read the bible

I learned this at my Catholic high school and at university.Do us all a favor and take an Ancient History/Humanities class.

Oh, and Jesus isn't "god" he's half god/half man. Hello Nicene Creed!

In the Koran, Jesus is a holy prophet. In Judaism, he's a teacher/rabbi (he doesn't fit their expectations for the Messiah). Why do they need to have the same text to be the same God? The Koran was written 600 years after Jesus died. It references Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Mary etc. Judaism and Islam still obey the dietary laws. Christians put in a little clause in Acts (or one of Paul's Letters, can't recall) to get around that.

Show me in the Koran where it says Christians aren't going to heaven? If you're thinking "infidels", that refers to anyone who did not worship a single god (i.e. pagans).

Ok, Ok... I'll admit it... I was being a bit sarcastic when I answered your previous question. I don't recall calling you any names, though. Either way, I'm sorry. I should have just answered it. My honest answer to your previous question **no sarcasm this time, promise**: I don't know what I would do. The time will come when we will all know the truth. My beliefs are ironclad. No one can convince me otherwise. The same is true of people truly devoted to other faiths. No, I don't think it would be fair, but unless I'm mistaken, women aren't allowed in the Islamic paradise unless as servants, so I'm sure I wouldn't like that either. So, if that's the case, I'd be screwed either way.

Christianity and Islam couldn't be more different. The Muslims made one huge mistake which will ultimately destroy their religion, it's the doctrine of the virgin birth. This one point is going to come back and bite them on the butt, real hard. The only reason why they don't see the massive problem is because their religion is all about complete submission (aka shut the f up and don't think or ask). Time-bomb waiting to explode.

Typically the Muslims are the only one's who say things like that.

They are convinced. There's no telling them anything.

They don't stop at God, they continue with the Bible. They think that they believe in the Bible. And they don't! They will pull a verse of two out of the Bible and use it as long as it serves their purpose.

They think that they believe in the Torah. And they don't. They think that Shir ah Law is based upon the Torah, and it isn't. There is no Levitical Priest, there is no continual offering of animals. And how come the Torah isn't a part of the Koran?

They say they believe in Jesus. And they don't believe what he said. They don't believe that he is the Son of God, when Jesus said that he is the Son of God, and Jesus called God the Father all through the Gospels.

So my take on all this is this: They don't think like other people do. I think that they are capable, but they have been indoctrinated by BS, and you know what they say: Garbage in and garbage out.

Islam, Christianity and Judaism are considered Abrahamic religions. May I recommend Karen Armstrong? Her books are pretty helpful. They oughta help you out in your quest for knowledge.

edit***
Indeed, English and French are Latin Languages. If you look deep enough, you will see the similarities between the two.

They're the same god...the god of Abraham (don't forget, Jews also seem to disagree about Christ's deity).

Edit: There's really a limit to the number of imprecisely defined, untestable solitary deities you can fit in a universe - at some point you just have to admit that if your religion says "there's only one" that it's the same "one" as all the other religions that say "there's only one".

They're SUPPOSED to be the same god. Yahweh, God the Father, Allah... 3 groups gave different names to the same imaginary being.

But, being imaginary, and having it's personality invented by whatever group is worshipping it... then in actuality they are 3 different characters.

You are correct. People who think they are the same God have clearly not read either the bible or the Qur'an.

Christianity teaches that Jesus died on a cross for the sins of mankind, Islam teaches that Jesus was a prophet who lived a long life. Islam teaches that Allah sent an djinn to be an illusion to make people think that Jesus died on the cross when he actually didn't.

Christianity teaches that Jesus's blood paved the way for us to go to heaven and there is no work that we can do to earn this free gift of salvation. Islam teaches 5 pillars, ritual washing, praying 5 times a day etc. are the way to get in good with Allah.

Jesus taught us to pray for our enemies and to bless those who persecute us (he died on a cross for the message he brought) Mohammed taught his followers to slay infidels by the sword if they did not convert (he slaughtered thousands on his campaign of spreading Islam which continues to this day).

Nowhere near the same religion...
