It mostly depends on the sect and where.
In Iran at this time it would not be acceptable at all and quite likely to get a woman arrested. Some places it would just be frowned on and the wearer would be advised not to wear it. In the more liberal areas of Muslims it would be accepted and no one would bother the wearer.
There are a lot of Muslims where I live and many do dress with everything covered except the hands and face. Many of the women wear tight jeans and tight fitting tops and still wear the head scarf. Many dress the same as other people and no one would know they are Muslim by their dress.
remember there are many different sects of Islam just as there are many different sects of Christian.

If it looks sexy to a man than I would say no, Muslims are suppose to be modest. You shouldn't have to wear clothes like a 39 year old woman, you can still be modest and cute but I think its up to your OWN judgement if that is an outfit a muslim should be wearing. Would you be embarrassed in front of your dad, or other muslims? If so then it probably isnt the best choice, if you feel comfortable than I say go for it!

One would have to assume you are speaking about a Muslim controled country and not a free country.
Remember, the reason women have to cover 99% if not all the skin Allah gave them is because the men lack self-control. If they had self-control, then there would be other options besides either beating her to death or rape.
If you were to add the material that highlights a woman's form, it defeats the purpose of being fully covered in materials that hide all forms. The men lack control so the women have to be controled in what is proper to wear.
Or that is the way it was explained to me in one of those Muslim videos where you have thousands of men, no women, and the explanation of why it is good to force women to wear what they do.

Hello,
No, this kind of cloths is not allowed.
You can wear any cloths you love, but there are two conditions, they should not describe your body and don't make people see it through them.
What is allowed to appear is your hand and you face.
Today their are a lot of fantastic Islamic cloths, which can meet you needs if you looking forward to be a good Muslim.
Personally I believe in that this is an acknowledge of Islam that women beauty is powerful and has its influence on men, and you should be proud to have that acknowledge

Islamic Dress Code:
Our dress must cover our body adequately. Again we cannot determine what is adequate coverage on our own, as any witness to the misery of those who have tried it can readily ascertain. Shar'iah, as always, takes us out of this misery by defining it for us. For women, it is the entire body except hands and face. These parts must never be exposed to any other person (except in case of genuine need e.g. medical treatment). In addition, the cloth must be neither see-through nor tight fitting.
Obviously the skirts of the type seen in the pictures (www.limitedoo.com/detail/731366...)do not fit in this dress code.

Not at all.
Muslim women must cover herself from head to toe. This is required for her by God Himself in Quran. Read Surah al-Nisa if you can.
Philosophy behind this requirement is that Muslim women do not attract men for their beauty. So men give attention to how she talks, what she says and how she thinks, will she be a good life partner etc. etc. instead of thinking how great sex partner she will be if she is showing her legs in short skirt, half of her breast in low cut top with uncovered shoulders and beautifully designed hair. Muslim girls that is fully covered is not looking for a sex partner, but wants a decent man who will care for her and respect her the way she is.

No. refer this qu'ranic ayah:
Al-Ahzab (The Confederates)
O Prophet! Tell thy wives and Daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful. (33:59)
Al-Nour (The Light)
And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and to be mindful of their chastity, and not to display their charms [in public] beyond what may [decently] be apparent thereof; hence, let them draw their head-coverings over their bosoms. And let them not display [more of] their charms to any but their husbands, or their fathers, or their husbands’ fathers, or their sons, or their husbands’ Sons, or their brothers, or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their womenfolk, or those whom they rightfully possess, or such male attendants as are beyond all sexual desire, or children that are as yet unaware of women’s nakedness; and let them not swing their legs [in walking] so as to draw attention to their hidden charms And [always], O you believers - all of you - turn unto God in repentance, so that you might attain to a happy state! (24:31)
An-Nisa (The Women)
MEN SHALL take full care of women with the bounties which God has bestowed more abundantly on the former than on the latter, and with what they may spend out of their possessions. And the rightÂeous women are the truly devout ones, who guard the intimacy which God has [ordained to be] guarÂded. And as for those women whose ill-will you have reason to fear, admonish them [first]; then leave them alone in bed; then beat them; and if thereupon they pay you heed, do not seek to harm them. Behold, God is indeed most high, great! (4:34)

That skirt looks nice... I think in the minds of Muslims, that would be going a bit to far.

Sounds fine unless some Muslim man sees you and goes wild. You make him sin in his heart and he will beat you and his friends will help.
