The brighter the conditions and clearer the water you can use about any bait. Once the water becomes cloudy or the conditions become darker, you want to go to bright lures, especially those that produce noise or have scent. Most bass will avoid fast currents and will go to slower current, the wind speed doesnt matter to much, the direction does, the wind will blow the baitfish into the bank on the windward side of the lake, where the fish will move to to feed on the baitfish, the warmer the water the deeper the fish will be. In cold water they will be in shallower water trying to absorb some heat from the sun

warm water and a strong current comming towards you because they will follow the current . I caught one with a WORM
and they put up a big fight. If your bass weight was 5 lbs he probably put up a fight of 11 lbs...The ideal time is after 6:30 to 8:30. They also bite on bugs. In clear water!!!!
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!

Good Grief, books have been written on those subjects.
Yahoo does not allow the space to give you an adequate repose to those different conditions.
Strong Hint...break them down into either 6 or 12 different questions. Then myself and others can give you our own experiences with those conditions. Also would help GREATLY if we knew what part of North America you are in....North East, South East, Centeral, South Centeral, etc.

Even better, go to your city library and see what they have on bass fishing.
If the library doesn't have anything, go to a book store or Amazon.Com and purchase a book or two on the subject.
As has been said, a multitude of books have been written on the fine art of bass fishing.
