I absolutely would give my seat and I have. When I was 7 months pregnant, I was at a graduation ceremony at the national mall in the middle of the summer heat. Everyone was heading for the shade off to the side, but there weren't seats set up, and I didn't have an easy way of getting one over to the shade. A lovely lady insisted that I sit down in her seat, and I'm forever grateful! Always be gracious to others - you'll never regret it!

Hell yeah I would. I can't tell you how many times I stood on the bus hanging onto stuff to stop myself falling over while young people sat down in chairs not even caring. And I was very obviously pregnant. I have a petite frame and I looked like I was pregnant with twins my bump was so big, so it's not like they didn't notice.
And even when I was pregnant I have and would again give up my seat to an elderly person, I may be pregnant and aching and stuggling for balance (lol) but I would still offer my seat to an elderly person first.

Yes I always give up my seat. What if you or someone you loved was pregnant? You would give up your seat for them right? Its the polite thing to do. And with the elderly I would again give up my seat as well. When you get old you will want to sit down and I hope that someone younger than you would give up their seat for you. Its all about respect and treating others how you would like to be treated. Hope this helps.

Of course !!!!!!!!! I have and will.
I am a home healthcare nurse, so I work with the seniors everyday and know how truly had just a trip to the dr, store, or even the bathroom whips them out!!!
Im a mommy and yes I also would for an expectant mom or new mother. I have carried the diaper bag , groceries, or anything eles they had for many moms leaving different places. I have carried the bay carrier for them also.
Thats whats wrong with this world, few teach the children to help others anymore.

Yes, It is a very respectful thing to do to give up your seat to the elderly or pregnant woman....
Young ppl have strengh in their feet, which elderly people don't....
Pregnant woman need rest and care... cause they have another life inside them

I was always told to respect your elders....by giving up your seat, you are showing respect. As to a pregnant woman, you bet......you try carrying around a baby and all that goes with it so you bet I would and I have.
If it weren't for your elders, you wouldn't be here...think about it.....
If it weren't for your mothers, you wouldn't be here either.
If your mother asked you to give up your seat for her would you do it? If my mom were alive, you bet because I have....

i give up my seat to both pregnant lady and elderly anytime anyday but many people only give up their seat to pregnant women other than the elderly like if they feel the elderly folks are a burden, i figured we'll all be old sooner or later and we should'nt do to others what we don't want beign to us!

of course i would give it up that is implied! it really pisses me off when kids are sitting in the BART seats especially marked for seniors or disabled people and theres an old person standing there. ever heard of respect your elders? and pregnancy is a bit of a disability. jeez!

Of course give up your seat - prove that the age of chivalry is not quite dead. Lack of good manners and courtesy seems to be a growing trend these days.
