Islam and Christianity are basically the same religion:
(First of all I just wanted to clear this up for y'all Allah isn't the pagan moon god Allah means God ask any non-Muslim Arab.)
-The real major difference is that Muslims believe that Jesus wasn't God's for the simple fact that god can't have son's (by Muslim beliefs)
-The Koran mentions anti-Christ (or some what version of)
-Muslims believe in all the same Prophets
-Muslims aren't violent savages(that would be radical Muslims-which I personally being Muslim can't stand)
-It's actually against our religion to kill(I got grounded for smushing ants)
-When Muslim say that we believe in the same god we mean the "Father" not the "Son(Jesus" unless we're incorrect by assuming that you guys believe the "Father" is also god-are we?-question #1
-To me I think that god gave the same message to all of the people but the message was edited through generations, so god sent more prophets to clarify his message.
you don't have to agree

I said BASICllY the same religion
The only reason I didn't say Judaism is because honestly I don't know that much about it.
This doesn't really answer my question:
Jesus says " I am the Way , the Truth , and the Life, No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Islam teaches almost if not exactly the same thing as Christianity.I thinking Jesus's teaching are way more important then if Jesus was god or not
I was really just saying if I Muslim and believed that Jesus was god wouldn't I kinda sorta be Christian and If I was Christian and believed that Jesus wasn't god and just a prophet wouldn't I just be an ill informed Muslim. PLEASE DON'T CONFUSE CULTURES - I'm not talking about that
I meant to ask this but Was afraid to insult someone I just want to know- How can Christians believe things that were written years after the death of Jesus -no offense seriously

WOW I'm only 15 and I've studied both religions perfusively. Most of these answer are so one-sided. I've heard the story of Abraham before it was an interesting story but I wasn't talking about Judaism and Islam I realize how similar those religions are but both sides hate each other way to much to realize. And if you want to go and say that Christianity is "Completely different" or "Not even close" solely on the fact that Muslims believe Jesus isn't god's son then you need to take visit to Carlos Mencia because you my friend are a " dee dee dee"

I'm glad I don't have to agree with you, for I don't!
Christianity and Islam are NOT basically the same religion. There are some similiarities, but that is all. They part, seriously, on the person and work of Christ. Either Jesus of Nazareth was (and is) the Christ and Son of God, or He was not.
If He was/is, then Islam is a lie.
If He was/is not, then Christianity is a lie.
At that point, we differ!
When Mohammed recieved his "revelation" from the angel, more than 500 years had passed, and M. claimed that the Christians had "mixed up" the facts of Christ's life and ministry. This is a very serious charge: the Gospels had been written by eyewitnesses, and interviewers of eyewitnesses, of Christ's work and teachings. Some of these authors spent the better part of 3 years eating and drinking with Jesus, and watching Jesus perform miracle after miracle. THEY KNEW THIS MAN FIRST HAND.
And they supposedly "misunderstood" His person and mission? I don't think so!
The authors and transmitters of the Gospels were Jewish, and they had very.....exacting.....standards.....for the copying of and transmission of religious documents. A good source for this material is the Dead Sea Scrolls (older than the NT documents, and still accurate), and Josephus' "Histories".
Please look up the historiography of the Bible, and then consider that in the light of Mohammed's "revelation".
The authors of the Gospels COULD NOT have misunderstood Jesus' person and mission. If what we believe is false, it is because they willingly transmitted LIES about God. No mistakes!
And if THEY transmitted LIES about God, God would know.
If God knew there were LIES being told about Himself, and sent an angel to another prophet (Mohammed), why would God tell Mohammed it was all "just an innocent mistake"? I've never known God to pull any punches! He calls it like it is!
This creates a problem with Mohammed's so-called revelation. If the teachings of Christ's divinity are, in essense, lies, then it is a lie to call it "just a mistake" or "just a misunderstanding". Mislabeling a lie is a lie. It is a tool of politicians trying to soft-shoe voters, not a hard-core prophet.
Think about it.

Yes, Christianity, Islam and Judaisim have the same roots essentially. The basic principles go all the way back to Abraham and beyond. That is why they are called the Abrahamic religions. There are some fundamental differences though. The conflict between between the original Arab peoples and Tribes of Israel was in part because of a birthright. The early Christians did believe in the Old Testament teachings, but believed the Law of Moses was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. After all the original members of his church were ethnic jews and he himself was a descendant of King David. Also, he was Jehovah in the OT. Christ's teachings did not truely spread to the "Gentile" peoples until after his death.

The bible says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me. So if you don't believe that Jesus is the son of God, then the two religions are a world apart. Believing that He is the son of God and that God raised Him from the died is the only thing that will get you into heaven where the Father dwells. Just as He said NO ONE comes to the Father but by Me.

yes almost all mainstream religions originally stem from or take ideas from Judaism. Not one of them really want to admit that they all ripped off each others ideas, so they found things that each particular region of the middle east disagreed on and started to kill each other. Now the disease has spread around the world, and it won't end until religion dies and spirituality takes it's place. That doesn't mean that people have to stop believing in jesus or allah, that just means we recognize we're all talking about the same things and the details of religion happened so long ago that to continue to assume we know anything to remotely true about it is foolish, because we weren't there and too much hypocritical blood has been spilled in the name of religion. No more labels, no more dying from or by opinions, no more conversion, just accepting that we don't know and learning what all the possibilities could be.

I think they are about 95% the same.
I am Catholic.
Both believe Jesus never sinned, he was born from a Virgin and both believe Jesus went from Earth to Heaven alive.
Further, Muslims believe Jesus will return at the end of time - the rapture - just like Christians.
Many Christians want to point out that the Quaran has violent verses and stories.
The Old Testament is just as bad. And, we Christians should not be so quick to judge. A stapleman of the church - St. Paul - murdered hundred of Christian converts before Jesus converted him on the Road to Damascus.

It may look like that to a non-christian, but this is just not true at all.
Jesus is God, part of the three in one!
God The Son, God The Father and The Holy Spirit is what makes up the "God Head" or "The Great three in One" A.K.A God!
This is one thing that Christians can not over look it is a big part of what we believe!
One more thing is that we believe that you have to be saved by the blood of Jesus to go to Heaven! Please go to: http://cmrbc.org/gospel.html To find out about that and you will see even more of why Christians and Muslims are not the same.
John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

yes, islam and christianity are very similar, as well as judaism....
belief in one God: islam, judaism
(christianity claims 3=1, but that's not logical, sorry!)
belief in Jesus: christianity & Islam
( Jews don't accept or acknowledge Jesus as being a prophet or the messiah, he's more viewed as just a man)
belief in virgin birth: christians & islam
(Jews don't believe in "immaculate conception"-- hence mary couldn't get pregnant w/o doing the deed)
Belief in all prophets: Islam (christians don't accept Muhammed (saws) and jews don't accept Jesus or Muhammed)
these are just a few things that i DO know for sure about....
please continue your research...
p.s. Muslims are not miguided, if you do your research you'll see that it is the bible and the torah over the many years that have been changed by men.
i hope you continue on your journey to truth.
May Allah guide us all to the straight path. Ameen.

In regards to Jesus being God's son...Josh McDowell said that Jesus was either God's son or he was a liar or a crazy man.
Many people will say that they think Jesus was just a prophet or a good man or whatever but the fact is at Jesus' baptism God himself said, "this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased." And Jesus said "I and the Father are one", and, "if you've seen me, you've seen the Father".
Bottom line is, you either believe what Jesus said about himself or you have to call him a crazy, liar.
Many will choose to call him nothing more than a prophet. But what if???? What if they're wrong? What if you called to Him and asked in all sincerity for Him to reveal Himself to you? What if there is more to this Jesus than you could ever imagine? What if????

December 25 replaced into picked because of the fact 9 months previously (March 25) is Purim, the Jewish Day of Atonement. because of the fact the theory of Christ signified atonement getting into the worldwide, the pope at that element counted forward 9 months and got here to Dec 25.
