try deleting the folder and it's contents from explorer, then delete the registry entries. a bit messy but it'll remove it. you could also try re-installing from the disk and then uninstalling again.

also, you can try a system restore before it was installed.hmm, weird how it's still there after you removed the reg keys and the folder. Have you tried removing the files and folders from the command line?

Removing programs that are corrupt can be a bastard, I had a similar problem with photoshop cs3 that completely fucked my pc. give this a try if the command line option doesn't work http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 this will take you to a link for the microsoft cleanup utility, only works if your adobe uses msi for install. if your still having problems let me know and i'll see what else i can do

or try what the dude said below

Adobe CS3 products seem to have a hard time installing for many people.

I would go to the Adobe site and search for installation errors or something like that.

Here is the page for cleaning out PhotoShop CS3 pre-release software so the full CS3 can be installed. This page also has a link for the Adobe Clean Script tool to help do the job.

Read the Adobe forums too for your specific issue.

Personally i would try to re-install it over the top then use the uninstall if your not wanting to use it mate. Deleting the folder could cause more problems for you.

Have you tried doing it through the Control Panel - "Add/Uninstall" programs?
