Yes. It could be considered vandalism and a hate crime which carries a harsh penalty. He could get arrested.

ABSOLUTELY!! Not only would that action be considered illegal (hate crime) in most countries, your cousin needs to study history. Osama bin Laden isn't Indian! It could be that you both just misunderstand the cultural differences. Perhaps you are doing something they find rude and they are simply reacting to it. Take the time to talk with them (unless you actually fear them.) Tell them your perceptions and ask if you are doing something to offend them. You might be surprised!! If you are unable to talk your cousin out of his action, stay plenty clear, hate crimes carry much harsher sentences than any other crime.

Yes, you knew the answer before you asked. Two wrongs do not make a right. In addition, if the cops choose to look at it in a wrong light, it could be take as a hate crime, so a simple little prank turns into a major incident. Turn the other cheek and let it go.
God bless.

Absolutely! Does he realize the consequences? You don't know what these people are going through. Maybe someone has been causing trouble for them, harassing them and they in turn are "rude" to you. My background is Indian but we have never hurt anyone. It might be a good idea to introduce yourself and become a friend. You can always use friends...no one needs any enemies. Try to imagine what it would be like to walk in their mocassins.

Ya think? Geeez! They are Indian, not Iraqi. Then after you ruin your cousin's plan, take him to the library and educate him. Teaching him some manners wouldn't hurt either. A little "hello" goes a long way.

Your cousin can be arrested, held responsible and fined. You can be dragged into it as an accomplice... guilt by association.
Besides, Osama is hard to draw.
About all you two can do is stay the heck away from them, or better than that, you can stop and introduce yourself and try to get to know them.
They feel alienated, and they think you two are hoods. By treating them as human beings and introducing yourself, and allowing them to introduce themselves, you can change the dynamic.

you can only view your own objections to your cousins decision. he will do what he feels he needs to...right or wrong. if he chooses to do so...and gets caught...it could be considered a hate crime, not a good place to be in when you get to court and face a judge. personally...I'd like to see you be rude back to them without legal harm (for any possible indictment) just like any other legal citizen would do. pick you battles. good luck to you and your cousin.

^Yes, stop him. That would be wrong of him. Two wrongs don't make a right.
He could get arrested for defacing property, trespassing, and it would be considered a hate crime, enough reasons for you.

Yes I would try to talk him out of it. I would ask him if he wants to be like them? Being rude to your neighbor isn't good, not matter what they do. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
