I think I eat less during the summer, but I don't think I eat that much more at school. I jog at least 1mi. every day and I eat a healthy breakfast (cheerios) and for lunch I have PB&J or a turkey wrap with an apple or another fruit and a small serving of chips or crackers. and when I get home I usually have a snack and then I have dinner with my family.? Why am I gaining so much weight? if my life hasn't changed that much from the days of summer vacation. And I don't think it's stress related because I dont feel stressed at all and I've been through much longer stressful periods of my life. I'm a senior this year and I dont think the weight gain is weight related. What can I do? I'm freaking out.

the question is do you look heavier?
since you jog at least 1 mile everyday you could be simply gaining muscle weight. muscle weighs more than fat

you are a senior maybe your a late bloomer and naturally you will gain a little fat in certain areas.

since your not stressed and have not begun eating more you might want to just keep checking to see if you keep gaining and if so you might need to check with the doc.

but unless you actually look 10lbs heaver then you most likely have simply added more muscle mass because of jogging, which is not a bad thing. stay calm

Go by how your body looks not by what the scale says.

You can gain weight when your happy too. Aka when your happy in a relationship and you eat more cause your happy.where when your stressed you eat less because your consumed by your problems. If you run you might be gaining muscle mass which is actually heavier than fat (thats a great thing). Anyway dont stress cause it sounds like what you eat and do is pretty healthy.

everybody gains weight once in a while. You have to have meat in order to survive. There is such a thing as being too healthy. Just because you are gaining weight does not mean that you are not healthy. Sometimes your body produces fat that you need. You can work out on the tread mill. Trust me you are not gaining weight because you are eating too much. You are simply going through changes! Everybody does it. Like i gained 5 pounds because i grew taller. If you are tall and don't weigh that much their something wrong.

It takes time (like years) for a bad diet to hurt your health and your ability to stay thin. There are more diets than ever and more people dieting than ever and yet we have the fattest society ever. So a lot of these ideas about losing weight, make you fatter. Cutting calories, carbs and fats can cause you to have a weight problem for life.

It is better to eat differently. See site below and learn why meat and non-fat yogurt are so fattening. Also salt has no calories but makes you fat. Cure your weight problem and be thin for life. It also has the quickest weight loss possible.

Dear LL
you dont think the weight gain is weight related?!?!
I think you are kidding yourself - thin air does not turn into 10 lbs of fat - unnecessary extra food turns into 10 lbs of fat.
Get the fork out of your mouth and run for 20 mins per day - it's quite simple really.

well, generally when people snack after school they end up eating a lot more than intended so if possible then just limit what you eat after school to one thing
it also might just be that your about to get your period and people tend to have weight fluctuations at this time of the month so hopefully it'll pass

if the weight gain continues though or fluctuates anymore i would go see a dietician or your doctor

By the sound of it you're still a teenager. Teenagers are still growing. Just because you gain weight it isnt a bad thing.

or because you're a fatass with no self controll and you're lying to yourself about how much you really eat.

Hidden calories. Do you drink skim milk? Pop, milkshakes posing as coffee drinks. Is your scale accurate?
If not get a better one. Write down everything you eat, so you can see what is happening.
