This question has bothered me for a while, for there is evidence pointing both directions. I would like other's opinions on this question, and hopefully end this long debate of mine!

Have you seen a gummy bear lately? They are sitting down.

All the arms and legs look like they're pointing out at right angles from the body, so if you set the bear with the body vertical, it would look like it's sitting.
However, we know real bears walk on all fours, so the body should be horizontal, and therefore the gummi bear is standing. With the disproportionally large head, it would also have its snout perpetually in the mud, and might suggest it's actually a gummi pig.

hey waht i have seen lately in gummi bears cartoon they drink gummi berry juice and they bounce . so in regards to that i think they r standing

That is so true- I think they're sitting. Actual teddy bears mostly sit as well. If they are sitting then they have such short legs! Yes I think they are sitting.
