Many have low paying jobs. The number one cause of homelessness is not addictions, but lack of affordable housing. We need to get more section 8 housing, and we need to help people get more education. Maybe your church could provide a building where people could come to study for their GED? or at least have a place to take a shower so they can go job hunting.

well one good thing would be no at least re-negotiate NAFTA,so trade would work more in the favor of the American worker.Second of all,why don't we produce an economy where more people are employed instead of the 'bond' strategy of the Clinton Years. And why not re-work the tax code so it rewards work and investment, but punishes idle wealth like Real Estate or what not.

Donate shampoo and other products to the shelters.

TEACH THEM FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO LEARN. HELP THOSE WHO JUST NEED HELP AND MAYBE THE ONE'S WHO KNOW THINGS WILL HELP THE OTHER HOMELESS. THE SAME THING WE SHOULD BE DOING TO OTHER COUNTRIES. LET THEM KNOW WE CARE.
