To return to a pure state it used to be in at one point in time or to discover what it should be but has not yet managed to become?

(I realize there are other "goals" but for simplicity's sake I'm just asking the question in this direction right now)

to love God and glorify Him. whichever option gets us closer to that.

The permanent mission of the church is to teach everyone the truth about God, and to baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The church has always been a community of sinners empowered by God's grace, constantly hoping that his mercy will exceed his sense of divine justice.
