It depends what you say. Making threats will get you arrested. Just being an *** is covered by the first amendment.

Most definitely yes. Back in the 60's PIG was a popular word for a police officer. Cops in California were arresting people for using the word and charging them with drunk and disorderly. Many of the cases stood. The evidence cited was that the person must have been drunk as they were unable to distinguish an officer of the law from a common barnyard animal. Giving the finger could land you in jail too. The charges read "Individual raised his middle finger in such a way as to indicate extreme lewdness." Being lewd in public is a crime.

Yes ...if your words are 'perceived' by the officer to be of a threatening nature or are being said accompanied by threatening actions such as in a crowd of people to insight them to act against the officer ... then you will be arrested.

Most officers will warn you once or twice about your behaviour or tell you to settle down. If you fail to do so ... you will be arrested.

Understand ... the police officer is the one to make this assessment, given the situation and the circumstances surrounding the situation. At that time and in that place it is his interpretation that warrants his actions.

Yes, it would fall under the catch all of "Disorderly Conduct". If you swore at an officer with no provocation, you could also end up getting blood drawn to test to see if you have blood or alcohol in your system and if negative could be held for 72 hrs at a psychiatric facility pending a full evaluation.

It depends. In some places its against the law to swear a lot in public. (Like thats actually enforced) So it all depends on where you are and if the police officer is extremely strict or not.

Yes, you can. You can get a ticket just for flipping off an officer. Not that many cops would actually take the time to write a ticket for something that stupid. If they wanted to be a dick though...they could.

You might get arrested because might try to claim you attempted to elude, or even attempted assult (which might lead to a terrorist act charge), but you would be very unlikely to be convicted of a crime.

Police officers should never give anyone a reason to swear at them, but sometimes (stuff) happens. Sometimes it was because the cop was a jerk, and sometimes it is because cops encounter crazy people; either way.....whatever

It depends on the circumstances. Sometimes yes, others no. At the very least it would give the officer reasonable suspicion to investigate you further.

Nope, you can be offensive to an officer which will give him a reason to FIND something he can site or arrest you for. Hope this helps!!!
