I was wondering if someone could help me. I had anxiety and depression problems last year in school. But when I left school it got better because I didn't see people. I got a lot better.

Lately though I've just been really anxious and depressed, everything just sets me off, and I have no motivation to do anything, all I want to do is sleep and sit around. I hate myself. I mean I get lazy sometimes but I mean this is more I seriously have no motivation to do anything

I had surgery in June and was recovering for a month, but I was doing better after the surgery, its just lately I've been like this. Its wierd my mom says she's the same way.

What is wrong with me?

Your depression has recurred. You would likely benefit most from getting on on meds and into therapy. It can get better, but not unless you take action.

Sounds normal for a teenager.

BUT while unlikely.... Check out your house for carbon monoxide and or mold. Both can affect the energy level of a person and could help explain why both you and your mother are tired and unmotivated. (As you stated above)...

If that isn't it then have a snickers bar (tastes good) and a cup of coffee and find something that you want or would like to do as a hobby.

I know that before I got into woodworking I had the same problem but now that I have a hobby that requires some physical work I feel better and am a happier person for it.

Good luck to you.

I often feel the same way, sometimes just getting out helps.
If I have an appointment, or a situation where I will have to be around other people, my anxiety and depression kicks end, but once I have completed the task, I feel better.

You have to practice positive thinking (constantly). I post notes around "you can do anything" "achieve" " I am worthy"

reading (escaping to a good book helps).

meditation

If you are religious, read the bible. I recently read Mary who walked with Jesus, The red tent, and The story of Esther.

I would recommend u having an evaluation with a psychiatrist. They may be able to pinpoint what is getting u down and get u started on some meds to get u going again. It sounds like u are depressed cause u are sleeping and just sitting around.

you don't say how old you are, but I suspect, if you live with mom, you are in your teens. Frankly, you sound pretty normal for a teen. If it bothers you, don't wait for motivation, just get out of the house and move. Even a walk around the block will make a difference.
